In Short
Founded in 1789, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the oldest state university in the country. Nestled at the top of a scenic hill in Orange County, the town of Chapel Hill sprang up around the university, and life still revolves around the school to some degree. Boasting an outstanding faculty, affordable tuition (especially for in-state students) and a gorgeous campus, UNC consistently ranks among the top schools in the nation.

I am Tarheel Born and a Tarheel Bred and when I die I'll be a Tarheel dead.....Go Carolina!!! UNC Chapel Hill was the best experience I have ever had. The campus is full of amazing people in the most beautiful setting on earth. From the excitment and school spirit to the excellent staff, UNC CH is by far the best University out there. I would highly recommend this school to everyone. They do say, God must be a Tarheel because the sky is Carolina Blue! Go Heels!!!!
