What People Are Saying About East End Oyster & Martini Bar

In Short – East End's simple, cosmopolitan decor tells you that this is no college beer hall. Even though the atmosphere here isn't stuffy, you should head for the trendier part of your closet before heading out. Expect a crowd of young professionals on the weekends, with a few more students during the week. Live music on the weekends can demand a cover, but rarely more than a few bucks.
Editor's Tips
- Where to Sit:
- Sip and mingle at the roomy bar, or grab a booth for more private conversations.
- On The Menu:
- The limited menu focuses on oysters and shellfish--a good complement for the beverage of choice.
- What to Drink:
- With 101 martinis on the menu, East End offers a truly upscale choice for libations. For those who'd rather stick to the familiar, a good range of beers and a solid wine list offer alternatives. The signature Diamond Dole martini, featuring a pineapple-infused vodka, will certainly indulge more than your sweet tooth.
Great food, martinis, and staff!

Not only is East End a fun late night place to hang out, but also a great place to have dinner! Their menu is simple but thoughtful, a refreshing change from the ordinary Franklin Street cuisine. The staff is very accommodating and the atmosphere, if you go before midnight, relaxing. Not to mention, their bartenders make amazing drinks! Order from their extensive martini list or, my personal favorite, ask a bartender to make a unique one!

The bar tenders are great at what they do. They take orders quickly and efficiently. The prices are great for the drinks you get. I'm totally impressed!

The martinis are FABULOUS. The atmosphere is not stuffy and they even have a beer pong table upstairs. The staff is excellent and very friendly too. I highly recommend coming here if you are in Chapel Hill.
