We use to go to Bullocks but their brunswick stew has become like soup not thick anymore...So after reading reviews here, we decided to try them..So today we got BBQ, Brunswick Stew, Slaw and Hush Puppies...well it was all so much better than Bullocks..the Stew was outstanding.thick and yummy..the BBQ was great..the Hush puppies were soft and great also...we ordered a dozen of them and wow we got many more...we will certainly be changing our allegiance to Hog Heaven when we want BBQ and Stew

We decided that we would use them to cater our rehearsal dinner at the church. After speaking with a guy named Colten we thought that it was all planned and ready. Well the night of my event the guy they sent arrived an hour late. He was alone and had no idea what time he was supposed to be there. Colten of course was no where to be found. If was Friday night of course...work....no way!!! My guests had to help him set the food up, serve and they even had to drive to the store to get cups and plates because he forgot to bring them. Not to say that the guy that came did not do an excellent job. There was just no way he could have done that on his on. They threw him under the bus. He said that he had to prepare the food...box it up and come serve it. I was humiliated!! I paid a lot of money to have them bring the food and set it up and to have my guests serving and driving to the store. It was a nightmare. To top it all off...I have been calling to talk to the owner for over a week and no one will call me back. What a way to run a business. I dont' suggest using them unless you like looking like a fool in front of your guests. I will be going to the paper and to anyone else who will listen!

Hog Heaven is a a delicious barbecue destination for Duke students and those at UNC and their friends and relatives. My daughter introduced me to Hog Heaven during my first visit to North Carolina and I made sure to return on my next trip.
