In Short – One of the most beloved symbols of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Old Well stands at the heart of the college campus. The well was once the main water source for two dormitories, and in 1897, it was made more decorative with its dome supported by classic columns. Today, the well is a favorite place for students to hang out and socialize.
