Deceiving. I have been going there for a long time. The one night I trusted them, they screw me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
food is good but not very welcoming!!!!!. i love P.F Changs china bistro. It is one of my favourite restaurants. It had been a long time i had not eaten in this restaurant so i made a plan to eat out with my family. It was christmas eve. I called in and a gentlemen picked up the phone and i was informed that they are open till midnight. When i got to the place it was closed at 10:30pm, and we were asked to leave. I was very disappointed.…
Lousy service. I like PF C, the food is good in-house, even if the service is slllloooowww and sometimes non-existent. But DON'T order togo! I've placed 3 orders, 2 online and one over the phone, because I like the food, but I didn't want to deal with the lousy service. For every togo order I've had a minimum of a 20 minute wait, past the time I said I would be by to pick it up. Twice they left items out and other times the quality was lousy. One order I placed online 2 hours in advance and I still had to wait 50 minutes (along with 3 other people) from the time I requested as a pick-up time. Worse, they left out our lettuce wrap, the food that was suppose to be crispy was mushy on the outside and dry in the middle (salt and pepper shrimp and walnut shrimp) and the other items weren't much better. When I called about it I was hung-up on (by accident?) when I called back I was put on hold for over 10 minutes and then all they did was sent me a card for a complementary lettuce wrap, and they still charged me for the lettuce wrap on the order I didn't get!…
Scammed by a waitress..
Ate there on Friday, July 1, 2011. We were a large party of approximately 40. My wife and I paid our bill in cash and received change. We were also two of the last 8 people to leave. After we left,
they approached one of the remaining members of our party and told her that we did not pay, she then paid my bill - twice!
The next day I spoke with the manager and operating partner DJ who was very helpful and offered to credit the person that paid our bill the second time.
Here is what we think happened. Bill was $44.85 and admittedly we didn't pay attention to the exact total. We gave $60 (in 20s) and received $15.25 back, a ten, five ones, and a quarter. The waitress took our money, made change out of her tips and returned the change to us. We stuck around talking to some of the remaining people and at this point everyone had paid their bills. The waitress waited until we left and then approached the remaining people saying that we had not paid our bill. Putting her on the hook for paying, while the waitress pocketed the extra cash. Again, this is just a theory. However, going to a restaurant with 40 people, many of whom know who you are seems like a stupid place to pull "dine and dash" and it seems even stupider that a waitress would pull this kind of crap.
I really rate this a 2.5 stars. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice. Given this type of behavior I can't justify a higher rating. I'm only giving it 2.5 because the manager, DJ, was exceptional to deal with. I just hope he gets his staff worked out. If you go to this restaurant, watch out for a short, dark haired waitress with heavy eye make-up. Who knows, maybe in this economy it's happening more often than not. Getting this experience out there because people need to know about this behavior and hopefully watch out for it.…
This gussied-up chain bustles with singles and families craving Chinese food favorites..
In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children
feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.…
