rudeness from the front door. I went to Texas roadhouse tonight to meet up with some friends, and when I got there I found my friends upset at the “incompetent morons” who were seating people. It seems there was a section where my friends could have sat, and been comfortable, as they both were in a car accident, and are still getting surgery to recover from it. The seating staff seemed to not care about their discomfort, and when I asked one of the hostesses I think she was blond what the problem was she said that section is closed, and then she added I do not care if they are not comfortable. Now I have only been to a Texas roadhouse once before and it was not the greatest, but the service was far better then this was
Texas--themed barbecue chain provides carnivores with a family-friendly spot for a hand-cut steak or rack of tender ribs..
In Short
With dozens of locations spread across most of the country, this faux-roadhouse chain has become a dependable spot for families in search of a casual spot for affordable steaks and down-home comfort fare. The playful menu is dotted with kid-friendly titles (chicken "critters," "road kill" chopped sirloin) and options (add caramel and marshmallow to a baked sweet potato for a dollar). In-house hand-cut steaks come in a plethora of cuts and sizes.
two words.......... NOT recommended.
The meat was old, hard, dry and inedible, the fries were cold and soggy. I sent it back. A half an hour later, waiter cameback, It was medium to med rare, however, the meat was still tough and chewy. A CHEAP cut of meat, like a potroast and not a prime rib. Who are they fooling?.
Staff was not friendly actually our waiter was snotty when we (a table of 8) would ask for anything. The salad was prepackaged not something you would expect from a steakhouse. Being a table of 8 the grautity was automatically included, I don't have a problem with tipping someone that does a good job but our waiter came across as -oh well I will get my grautity reguardless of the service.- I would not recommend this resturant to anyone. As a matter of fact as we were exiting the resturant the table next to us commented about the terible service and food they recieved also.
Very bad customer service,.
My steak was prety good, but, they have to do something about customer service, I visited this place a couple of times and it was a very bad experience with the servers. my order was wrong, and when I bring it to the server attention, she keep saying "I'm going to change it but, thats what you order" .
not coming back.
Good but not great restaurant.
I agree with the previous reviewer about the employees. Our waitress wasn't the best. Four of us had dinner on a Saturday night. She got my friend's order completely wrong. I asked for butter on the side for my potato but it was drowning on it. She accidentally dropped a steak knife on me and only apologized a bit. She really didn't seem to care.
My steak was very good. Do know that they overcook everything. I asked for medium rare and it was basically medium or medium well. The salad was pretty good as was the potato (after I scraped the butter off). The rolls are delicious. One friend got chicken which was luke warm.
Overall, it was a good experience but I don't know if I will go back. If you do decide to go, make sure you call ahead so you don't have to wait as long.
Not recomended, * * * * not coming back. There is some very rude and idiot people working here, besides Mandy, the cashier, the food is Ok, but not that good, I defenitly not coming back, I rather go to the IHOP restaurant for a steak omelet,
Worth the 25 minute drive from Raleigh. I live in downtown Raleigh in close proximity to dozens of steakhouses, and I don't think twice about a trip to Durham for a steak. Texas Roadhouse has an amazing call ahead seating program that allows me to call on my way out the door, and be seated after wading through the waiting patrons who can't get enough of this wonderful food. The atmosphere is great, the wait staff is some of the best around, and the food...again....it is worth the 25 minute drive. How many other steakhouses have a wait almost every night of the week? None...why is that? No one makes a steak like they do!
yum yum!. this restaurant is SO GOOD! the best steak, mashed potatoes and gravy you could ever ask for! Sometimes I crave their bread like crazy, which is so good, and it comes with cinnamon butter. I would suggest this restaurant to everyone! It's my favorite.
Awsome!!!!!!. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!!! The food is awsome! This is my favorite restaurant and I will choose it over any other any day of the week. The value for what you get is great!! You are allowed to pick out your own steak if you want to, the homemade yeast rolls are to die for and the vegetables are out of this world! Every item on the menu is delicious! The atmosphere is exciting and interactive! It is truly a southern experience--peanut shells on the floor (purposely of course), servers line dance together to certain songs every hour or so and they are all extremely friendly!! I could go on and on!! Just go see for yourself!!
rude staff. very rude staff, from the host to the cashier very rude people
