pretty surprised. My friends and I went on a Sunday, per the suggestion of the sushi chef at one of our favorite restaurants, and I have to say we were plesantly surprised by the large selection and constant rotation of the food. Almost every time I visited the bar an entree was being replaced/refreshened. I swore off chinese buffets more than a year ago due to msg & heat lamp accusations and old tasting overly salted food, and if it weren't for such a well respected suggestion we would have missed out! they offer mediocre sushi, some semi nutrional entrees for healthy eaters, and it is the perfect place for my vegetarian friend to dine...all for 7 bucks! I enjoyed the baked salmon, white steamed rice, spinach souffle and spring rolls among other things. Definitely will be frequenting, and avoiding the bathroom based on others reviews.…
Very disappointing.
This was very disappointing. I went there during lunch because Jiffy Lube was next door. I dropped of my car for an oil change and walked over to Hong Kong Buffet. It was not good. The food was
barely warm or even cold. The hot sour soup was not very hot. The sushi was okay. Some dishes were cold. I was not impressed. When I paid, the gal did not even ask if I enjoyed the food because I would have told her. Since not, I get to express my thoughts here.
If you want a good Chinese buffet, go to China Buffet in Durham.…
Gross. I'm surprised rats and cockroaches weren't on the buffet. I was afraid of getting an STD from using the rest room. The walls are caked in dirt. The whole place was filthy. Dirty floors, sticky tables, the bathroom was horrendous. The food was disgusting. There seriously wasn't one good thing on the buffet. Most dishes were soggy, overcooked, bland, and had no positive qualities. We each ate about half a plate and left. We've been to countless Asian restaurants all over the country over the years (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Indian, etc.) There was NOTHING good about this place. I am befuddled that someone would give this place a decent or even semi-palatable rating. Though, most of the other ratings for this place are from 4+ years ago. DO NOT eat here.…
