Always a great experience

I'm new to Durham and found the Garden Salon through Citysearch. The reviews were great and it was conviently located so I gave it a try. It's always scary to find a new stylist but I have been so happy here. Kristen has been doing my hair for awhile now and she has never let me down. In fact, I'm delighted with the way she cuts and styles my fine limp hair. It looks full and sassy now! I also love being able to schedule my own appointments on line - how convienent. And all of the amenities at the salon from the drink they offer you when you enter to the pampering until the moment you leave. I highly recommend this salon. Enjoy!

Excellent Hair Salon

I highly recommend the Garden Salon. The stylists are skilled, they use great products, the prices are reasonable and the scheduling is easy. I think their customer service skills are the best I've ever come across in a salon. The women who schedule the appointments are so genuinely nice. I have been a client for over a year and I won't go anywhere else. They are really great about educating you about how to style your hair yourself. I always leave there feeling gorgeous.

Erin is great!

I got a really great, trendy cut with Erin several months ago before my best friend's wedding. It really looked wonderful. You can tell when a hair stylist knows how to cut hair when your cut can begin to grow out and still look great. Unfortunately, being totally lazy on my part, I got a hair cut recently from another place, which was just not as good as at The Garden Salon. I'll definitely be making the drive back to Durham for Erin's work!

• Cons: Tad expensive, but worth it I think

Going long to short? Ask for Brittney!

Got my hair chopped off and love love love it! Sometimes a dramatic change is difficult, but Brittney did an amazing job. I just gave her a picture of a haircut I liked and she made it work for me!!! This was my first time getting my hair cut by her too.

Brazilian Keratin Straightening Treatment

I have been a customer at the Garden Salon for 2 years now and have always loved the services that I have gotten and my stylist Kellie! Recently the salon has started to offer the new Brazilian Keratin Straightening Treatment that I have been dying to try! My stylist Kellie had it done to her hair with great results so I decided to give it a chance. I had always been turned off by other straightening treatments because they are so damaging to hair and you have to keep up with your growing out roots. I got this keratin treatment done last week and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! It is a little on the expensive side but worth every penny! I have LOTS of hair that is coarse and curly with a frizz to it. When I did blow my hair out straight it would take me a good hour at least if I hurried, usually an hour and a half normally. I washed my hair today for the first time since getting the treatment (you can't wash your hair or do anything with it for 4 days after the treatment to let the keratin set it) and it only took me 15 minutes to dry and pass a straightener thought it a couple of times. My hair is smooth and the softest it has ever been! The keratin washes out so I will never have to keep up with my roots! The results are amazing and Kellie wasn't lying that I would love it! I recommend this treatment to anyone with hair that is hard to manage, curly or frizzy. It's the best and I wish I had done it sooner!
