HORRIBLE SERVICE. If you're in the Triangle, DO NOT eat at Carolina Ale House near Sam's in Durham... I just stormed out of there... SO PO'd right now... We've been there 3 times in the past years since they opened and I'll never go back... Their service really sucks!!! They seriously need a consultant to come in and show them how to run a business... As soon as we went in, two separate parties came up to the front desk and said that they were still waiting for their table to be cleaned off so they could order...

THEN, we get seated to a dirty table... a patron sitting at the bar said, "Hey we've been waiting for that table" So back we go to the desk... (It's only 6pm and the rush hadn't even started and they're loaded with dirty tables)...

We get our table, FINALLY got to place our order wait, wait, wait, wait.......Our drinks and salads come out... no appetizers for Tyler and his friend. wait wait wait wait wait...multiple tables are looking around like we were for our server.. One couple got up and left before they even ordered.... I wondered how many people stiff that place because they're tired of waiting...

We finally get our meal.. (with the appetizer at the same time... isn't it supposed to come out earlier???)... of course, my order is totally wrong... so the girl who brought it out for him took it back...The waiter never came back to our table after he brought out drinks an hour ago, literally... never came back to see if we needed more so Tom went to the bar to order another just like we saw other tables doing so)... he came out to take care of another table and STILL never checked the surrounding tables, or ours to see if we were ok...or if our order came out ok... Everyone at my table was just about done when I was ready to blow... I had to chase him down to tell him to 'just put mine in a box, everyone's done eating and we have to go, it's been an hour and a half".... I CAN NOT stand that place... will never be back... I don't think I've ever been SO angry before over service... I still haven't eaten dinner. Just tossed it I was so (%(&&%. I dont' blame the waiter, I blame management... The place has been open for a few years and like I said, we've been there 3 times and each time, it has been the same... It's a shame that it makes the waiters look bad, I think they're over committed with the number of tables that they have... Horrible management..

Stay Away... Been to this location twice. First time was in the afternoon, no problems. I usally like the CAH very much as I have been to the locations in Raleigh and Wake Forest many times. But the second time was a mistake. The service wasn't the problem. Trying to be as PC as possible here. At night the place fills up with what look like gangmembers. The atmosphere is very edgy and frankly I was very nervous in there. If for no other reason, there is a uniformed police officer on duty in the place. If that doesn't tell you the place has had some serious problems in the past I don't know what will. I lasted less than 10 minutes in there before I had had enough of this weirdness and headed for the door vowing never to return.
