AWFUL AND FALSE STATEMENTS. When i went into Davids Bridal and paid for my brides maids gowns I did let the sales clerk know that my wedding was 4/28/2012 and I needed the dresses back within a 2 to three week period. The sales person stated that the dresses should be back within 14 days because they would come from the warehouse. I have called and the sales people are now saying the dresses should be in on april 12th 2012. i told them that i informed the first sales person that i had to send the dresses to my brides maids who lived in other states to have alterations done. They said well they will be in On april 12th. i am now getting ready to contact the better business bureau because that is not enough time for my brides maids to recieve their dresses and have them altered for my wedding which is 4/28/2012. When i asked to speak with a manager the lady stated the manager who's name is Ruth would call me back. When I asked did she know when ruth would call me back she stated no i really do not know when she will call you back. This is unacceptable and risicoulous. I will not recommend this store to anyone.
My wedding was planned for October 2010-I bought my dress form David's Bridal and was very happy with it when it came in. Earlier this year I found out I was pregnant and promptly moved the wedding date up so I could still fit into my dream dress-unfortunately moving the date did nothing for my original plan of fitting into my very form-fitting retro gown and was left with a bridal nightmare of having the wedding only 3 weeks away with no gown to wear!
I went into David's Bridal a complete mess-makeup running down my face and balling my eyes out, not to mention they were to close in 45 minutes!
The staff was SO friendly and worked with me so much as far as trading my previous dress in and with helping me find a new dress for my growing stomach and upcoming wedding day! Before I walked into the store I felt like giving up on my wedding-I already wasn't feeling beautiful because I had already begun to expand EVERYWHERE, but felt like my dream of being a beautiful bride who loved her dress was just not going to be an option for me.
However, as soon as we started looking at dresses and trying them on, the girls in the store were so wonderful and helpful with not only picking out a dress, but making me feel beautiful and comfortable at the same time-a feeling I had not felt since becoming pregnant at that point!
I would recommend this store to ANYONE and EVERYONE! I had the most wonderful experience and not one bad thing to say-and I was, and still am a very HORMONAL pregnant lady who is saying that! If you can trust anyone with a good experience somewhere, take it from someone who has had a hard time being pleased with just about anything!!
A lovely surprise.
After I got engaged, my mom and I decided to go to David's Bridal on a fact finding mission. Although we're both very excited about my upcoming wedding, neither of us is especially traditional and I think we had both already decided that I'd probably end up in a dress that was either vintage, not really a wedding gown, or made specifically for me.
We weren't expecting much from David's and we were joking about even going. Once we were there, however, our perspectives changed completely. The staff were all friendly and competent. My bridal consultant was as wonderful as could be - she immediately engaged with my aesthetic, was warm and gracious, and absolutely helped guide me through not just the dress selection, but also a veil (another shocker).
I know this isn't for everyone, but I enjoyed being around other bride-to-bes and their families, it made the whole experience much more warm, and it was so charming to get sweet feedback from the other customers.
I am totally in love with the gown I chose (my mother and I are thrilled and amazed at the ease of the selection process) and my whole experience was extremely positive.
I actually kept an appointment at a very high-end boutique nearby just to compare. While the experience was flawless, and the dresses stunning, I found that I actually missed the collectivity of David's. This store is a chain, and it's less posh than many bridal salons (sadly there's no champagne), but it is definitely worth a visit - both for the staff and the variety of dresses.
