What People Are Saying About Tomato Jake's Pizzeria

In Short – Large windows and vibrant greens make this pizzeria an appealing and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of booths and tables inside make this a favorite for families and groups alike. While pizza is the featured item, the offerings include calzones, subs, sandwiches, wraps, salads, pasta and more, all with silly names and fun ingredients. The location makes it a perfect outing for some--a meal and shopping excursion or a movie. Great outside space for pizza and beer.
Editor's Tips
- Save Time:
- Jake's delivery hours begin at 5pm, Monday through Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
- Know Before You Go:
- Large groups are welcome and the pizza place can accommodate up to 25 without calling ahead.
- When to Go:
- Tuesday nights have a special emphasis for kids--$1 cheese slices and $1.50 pepperoni, plus balloon animals. Wednesdays beer specials are popular. Once a month on Saturdays, the pizzeria hosts a popular comedy night.
Very Lacking

The service here is amazing they are fun i was greeted with a smile everyone was very up beat they had a great way using playing cards to keep track of orders all in all the first have was amazing and i was looking forward to the meal. Then it arrived I ordered the eggplant parm the friend I was with ordered the "forget about it" wrap. Should have taken that as a clue there were so many red onions on it that the wrap was inedeable my eggplant was so under cooked that it was still crunchy and tough under the breading. It was just sad that I was so looking forward to it from the great service I recieved at first.
- Pros: Great Service
- Cons: I would not give the food to my dog

What a cool looking, funky place. Stopped in for a meal not knowing what to expect. Staff was exceptionally friendly and we really liked the atmosphere!! We tried their 4 in the trunk calzone...WOW!! and my husband had a steak and cheese sub and he said it was the best one he ever had!! We just fell in love with food and overall feel of the place. We have been back twice and it was outstanding each time. Best toppings selection in the triangle!!!
- Pros: Toppings, Calzones, service staff
- Cons: None
Cookie Cutter Italian
by AuntJWeezy07 at Citysearch
Well, I had the chicken parm. They were out of spaghetti so they gave me ziti. That was fine. I sat there and watched him prepare my food. It was all very, step 1, step 2, step 3. It's the same as buying a kit for italian food or something from the grocery store. The taste was ok if you like that sort of thing.
- Pros: Location, Cleanliness, Service
- Cons: Recipes
