Owner Kathy Jacobs has been in the hair design industry since 1985 and, at Sling Blades, is pleased to offer consistently outstanding, quality hair styling service. When Kathy began her career, she attended the Advanced Training Academy of Vidal Sassoon in London, England. Now, she and her highly trained stylists provide sheer razor cuts, trendy slide cuts and other advanced cutting techniques.

Shelley is great! She listens to what you want, gives good advice, and produces great results. I've used her for years. I've also had Kathy and Michael cut and dye my hair, and I've been *very* pleased every time. The staff is friendly. I love this place, and I highly recommend it.

Shelley is awesome!!! I've been in Durham for many years and gone to every salon in town. This is the first time I've ever been totally satisfied with my hair style and highlights. The fact I've been going to Shelley for over a year is a testimony to her talent. I'm hooked and will never go to anyone else but Shelley!

Love love jennifer. I have been getting my hair cut and colored by jennifer for two years now. I have long hair and its hard to find a hairstylist that is not happy with the scissors. My hair is very thick and she thins it down for me. I always get so many compliments. I also love the atmosphere at sling blades.

Fab color & cut!.
I have been coloring my hair (in all shades) for years and all over the country. Jennifer Runion is one of the very best colorists I've ever been to. I've gone from bright red to black with purple or blue or red highlights to dark brown with blonde highlihghts. My hair has been healthy and shiny throughout. I am constantly complimented on my color and cut, to which I give Jennifer all the credit. She is a genius! My cut is quite simple, however I've seen several clients of hers with fabulously complicated cuts.
I highly recommend her and Sling Blades in general. Everyone there is super nice and the salon is beautiful.
It's a little hard to find the first time but once you get there, I guarantee you'll return.

BEST COLOR EVER!. I have tried several salons all over the triangle, and then I found Jennifer R at Sling Blades in Durham. Jennifer has been transforming my hair for over 5 years now! I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else! Jennifer has taken me from long to short , from blonde to brown to red! She has extensive training in the latest color techniques and hottest hair styles I know that every time I leave there I will have a big smile and a sassy new attitude! People always tell me, "I want your hair color". Make an appointment with Jennifer and you will not be disappointed!

Excellent Service and Ambiance. After moving from Miami, I was seeking a professional salon in Durham that offered exceptional service and skillful stylists...Sling Blades is the place! A natural blonde, I only trust highly competent professionals with my hair. Stylist Michael Midyette, a seasoned pro, who after looking at my hair for about 10 seconds nailed my color to the tee. I received one of the best treatments that I have had at his skilled hands. His charisma, charm and good looks were just icing on the cake! As someone whose spent a lot of money on pricey Miami stylists, I can honestly say that Michael blows them away. If you're still searching for a talented stylist, look no more, Michael is your man.

Shelly is FANTASTIC.
Shelly is the best! After moving here from Syracuse, NY, I tried 4 or 5 places before I found Shelly.
I love to wear short, funky styles with unique color. Shelly nails it every time! While I was growing out my hair she managed to keep me from looking shaggy and gave me an easy to style, cute cut at every stage. She always has great ideas for my hair color, and is adventurous and fun. She is always up to date with hair trends, and can make sure you look fresh!
Shelly is super hard to get into to see because she is so good, so make sure to book a few weeks before you think you will need a hair cut. And then always book your next appointment before you leave. She is worth the effort to see!

Leigh is amazing. I had a business meeting the next day and needed to get my hair cut and styled . Leigh was able to fit me in at a moments notice and she made some excellent recommendations. I walked out of Sling Blades with probably the best hair cut I've had and I looked great the next day for my meeting. I would recommend Leigh to anyone who is looking for a new stylist.

Superb Esthetician!!!!.
Sling Blades spa treatments are exceptional. Kristi is fantastic. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes you feel immediately comfortable. Incredible service is unbeatable and the prices are extremely reasonable.
I really enjoyed my experience here. She gave me individualized skincare advice and treatment that was great. Highly recommended! I can't wait to go back and have her do a brazilian on me for summer.

Amazing hairstylist. I just moved here and have had a difficult time finding a talented stylist since moving to North Carolina. LEIGH'S talent for style and color is more than I could have hoped to find here.I wanted a completely new look. I went in with a couple of pictures and Leigh helped me come up with a style. I told her that I wanted new color, but told her to pick the colors based on her experience and what would look best with my skin tones. I could not be happier with the result.
