Horrible food and service!!!. If I could leave no stars, I would! My boyfriend and I ate here last night for dinner for the first time. They have looked busy in the past, so we thought we would try it out. We got a nice table, but it did take a minute for someone to help us at the front. The sever took about 6 or 7 minutes to finally greet us. She was not very friendly and didn't have any knowledge or recommendations for the wine or foods. Food arrived, it was presented nicely, but did not have any flavor. My boyfriend got the steak marsala and I got the chicken parm. We didn't complain, but service took forever, the lady who seemed to look like a manager was standing at the front as we paid and didn't even look up to say goodbye or ask how the meal was. OVERALL, a horrible dining experience!! Do not eat here unless you want bad, slow service and terrible Italian foods.

Great Italian dining option in Durham. We've been there twice - service was excellent, food was very good on both occasions. Prices are reasonable.

The decor could use an uplift. The booth seating is tired and the carpeting smelled a wee bit.

Take a moment to meet the owner, as we did on our first visit. She?s a sweetie, and her hubby, the chef, is the real deal.

Recommended.

Good Food, slow service in large groups. I went here for a mom's night outing. We had a large group of probably over 20 moms, and so our service was a bit slow. However, it was my first time here and I had the carbonata pasta (that may be spelled wrong). The pasta has bacon and a egg cream sauce- I had leftovers the next day and it was just as awesome. The prices are reasonable.

Although I'm hoping the next time I visit there the interior is more inviting and less showing of a retired Shoney's location.

Tasty food!. This is not a fancy italian restaurant, but they had good, solid food. If you're looking for italian food but don't want to spend a bunch, go here! We went here on a weeknight at about 830 and the place was empty. I think there were all of three parties in the whole place and this is a good-sized restaurant. Prices are reasonable. Simple, casual italian dining, I'd definitely go back.
