I wanted a cake that sparkled and Sugarland exceeded my expectations. The cake was covered in edible glitter and sparkled from across the room. It was gorgeous! Thanks so much!

My husband and I stopped into Sugarland in Chapel Hill yesterday to grab the same red velvet cupcake we enjoyed the day we got engaged on the lawn of UNC. . .not surprisingly, we also took home a sea salt caramel cupcake. . . little did I know I was about to indulge in the greatest flavor to ever cross my lips!!!! It was nothing short of heavenly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you are ever near this tiny little cupcake shop in Chapel Hill. . you MUST indulge!!!

What a wonderful sweets treat oasis on Franklin. The gelato is hands down fantastic Between my wife and daughter we split a Pink Grapefruit and a Strawberry. They were creamy and fulfilling. Almost too fulfilling. You would think the little cups wouldn't be enough, but honestly I had to gluttonously force myself to finish. No one was twisting my arm though, that's for certain! Next time maybe we'll dive in to one of them many delicious looking cupcakes that were on display.

I will NOT placed an order there again.. I was very happy and excited to have found a place that "knew what they were doing" I purchased three cakes from them and in all three I was disappointed. My third and last cake order left me very unhappy this past November. After going around the block looking for parking for about 25 minutes, I was finally able to get to the store.. My cake was given to me and I noticed that the flowers I emphasized about for WEEKS were not on the cake… what a disappointment.. I am thinking what had happened? Confused, I asked and their reply was: " They were on back order" so I told her why didn't you communicate this to me so I don't be surprised at pick up on my special day, her honest answer was: "Well I cannot call you whenever there is something wrong" … I wanted to die when she said that. I guess she was expecting me not to say a thing and walk a way which to me is ridicules. This 10" round cake cost me $150.00!!!. I would of appreciate attention to detail on my order and for them to take into consideration my input on what I wanted and not to ignore my request and then give me a nonsense answer. Honestly, the flowers were not even the issue, it was the fact that they didn't seem to care. Instead, she had the guts to tell me: "This should be your last cake then" ..SERIOUSLY? I took the cake and left.. I just couldn't believe I heard that, and with tears in my eyes left the place which ruined my entire day.



As a customer I feel that I was totally disrespected, their lack of communication, courtesy and professionalism is very very poor. My vision was changed and I literary got a slap in the face instead of an apology; and never try to make it better. This issue has been bothering me since, I feel the way they handled it was SO unprofessional. Her suggestion have been granted, I will NOT placed an order there again.
