Disappointed. We were sorely disappointed…the Southern barbecue was dry and tasteless, the waffle fries were stone cold and limp and the baked beans tasted as though they came straight out of a can. My husband got ribs and said that they were average at best. The potato salad was mush and the Caesar salad was bland. We will not return.

Classic BBQ. So I could tell you about the laid back atmosphere and the great service at Dickey's, but I'm a guy and the most important thing about this place is how great the food is. You can really tell that they do use fresh meat and smoke it themselves (I could even see them "loading the pit", as they say, for myself) because its so juicy and tender, definitely not cooked ahead of time and all dried out like other places. I liked that you could request certain cuts of beef or pork (I like mine real lean, and that's exactly the kind of brisket I got). I got my fill on 2 sides AND hushpuppies, which made me really happy. Men will definitely leave Dickey's full and satisfied.

Oh, but I did succumb to the kid in me and got some free ice cream. I mean, who can refuse free ice cream?

Awesome Family Resturant. Dickey's is a great alternative to all the other fast food places out there today. I brought my family in last Sunday (kids eat free on Sunday!!) and everyone, even my 2 year old, left happy and full. They have healthy sides like corn on the cob, green beans and mac and cheese that our kids love and we felt good giving to them (but they do have lots of yummy fried food for the big kids!). The adults got our fill on pulled pork, ribs, brisket, chicken, and much more! It was nice to sit down at a real table, but the service was fast (really fast) and the staff was very accommodating for our large group. We will be back next week with our friends!
