I have been a customer of this Meineke
shop for over 10 years. The service is excellent and timely. When I go in for my annual car inspection, if the servicemen find another problem and it's more than I can afford at the moment, they always give me a print out so I can come back at a later time to have the work done. I highly recommend this shop over my dealership for courtesy and cost.

Go to a Place that Cares.
I stupidly take my car for a simple inspection and an oil change. They "upsell" me on the oil package, saying they'll top off my "fluids." Turns out "fluids" no longer means transmission fluids, but just washer fluid. $10 well-spent there.
I brought it in at 10am on a Saturday, and receive a call at 3:50 that my car did not pass. And they close in 10 minutes, could I please get it off the lot before then.
I fix the issue, and, already being charged for the inspection, I decide I might as well take it back there so they can pass it. One of the mechanics says they'll need to do a complete reinspection, so even though they close at 6 I should be there around 4:45 to ensure they can get it done. I miss the deadline by 10 minutes for work conditions, and they suggest I bring it by Saturday morning.
I'm given an estimate of an hour and a half. This time, the person behind the desk lets me know that they only need to reinspect the part that failed - interesting change of story.
2 hours later, I call for a status report. It still has not been seen. "Give it 30 more minutes, we should get it done by then."
RIDICULOUS service. I understand that they're busy, but they are so "by the book" and focused on selling and gauging the customer as much as possible that they don't care at all. I will never take my car to a Meineke or other chain again.
By the way...a quote for a replacement ball joint and control arm was $1300 - another mechanic got it done for $400. Now that's money well-spent.

Most Reasonable, Great Service.
The new owner has redone the building so that it really looks nice with a waiting room with wireless internet that I don't mind waiting in! They are the most reasonable car repair shop in the Chapel Hill area. They figured out a grinding noise that turned out to be a stuck brake pad and fixed it for $75.00. I willl use them again.

Editorial Review.
More than just mufflers, services include brakes, steering, A/C and basic maintenance like oil change, tune-ups and tire rotation.

Not so great auto care.
The service is not what it's used to be because a new owner bought the store. The car mechanics don't know what they are doing. It is great if you know actually what maintenance service you need. Don't count on them to find out what's wrong with your car. They simply have no clues. In addition, don't trust what they say on the coupon, for example, free tire rotation and inspection with an oil change. They didn't even look at the tires after the oil change and they just told you that they have inspected the car. It is no doubt the cheapest oil change in town with a coupon. But you got what you paid for.
