great stuff- a little over priced.
I love this store- as I told the owner the other day, I just wish my apartment had more space. I also wish I had a bigger pocket book because the things in here tend to be pretty expensive. Everything is in pretty good condition and some of it can be hard to find normally, but still fairly expensive. The owner is nice, helpful without hounding you and ready to answer questions. As the overview states most of the items tend to be traditional Americana, but there is little that is "kitschy" here.

Packed with solid American antiques and other homewares..
In Short
A warehouse in Carrboro that's so dense with odds and ends it's sometimes difficult to walk through. Kitschy items and antiques tend to live up front. More modern sticks--pieces from the '70s to the present--collect in the back. The owners of the Trading Post buy locally, a practice resulting in a collection of decidedly American pieces, generally youthful antiques--think 19th- and 20th-century with a few European works mixed in.
