In Short
In business since 1969, Hector's pre-dated the "wrap" craze, offering decent gyros and not-so-decent beef souvlakia. They're still at it, rounding out the fare with hamburgers, hot dogs and a really good Greek grilled cheese. The upstairs room here is built for heavy use: Its as no-frills as possible. The kitchen, visible behind the counter, is stocked with gyro meat, a grill, a griddle and a fryer. Look for the employees wearing "Hectr's Rules!" shirts.

Unfortunately Hector's has closed and I have been unable to find out if it will reopen. The current address on Franklin St is in fact wrong. Hector's moved from the 201 E Franklin St. location to Henderson St below Zogs Pool Hall. I heard Hector's was supposed to reopen on Franklin St but this has not been confirmed. It is tragic that Hector's has closed and if anyone wants to open it back up with me I will be more than happy to buy in.
