Newly renovated, The Flying Burrito, has retained its original southwestern flavor and affordable dishes, while adding a new mix on the menu including a variety of tapas dishes . The burritos are still big on flavor with the option of fresh jalapenos to make them a spicy-food lover's ultimate challenge! Enjoy a wide range of fresh seafood ranging from catfish, oysters, and sea scallops. We're also proud of our signature brunch menu which features shrimp and grits, huervos rancheros, and vanilla pancakes. In Short
This cozy corner eatery marks the spot for some of Chapel Hill's best Mexican fare. Families and singles mesh comfortably in the dining area; the pinatas and crepe paper add color to an already festive scene. Creative combinations give the menu some flair. Share the Mexican Train Wreck--but be sure to order chips with it. Take risks and taste the daring concoctions, including the signature flying burrito that appears in many forms.

While there are absolutely great high points on the menu (many of the tapas plates are top notch and very affordable, especially on Wednesdays, and the drink specials are great) a lot of the food really has no taste. The basic burritos probably have the smothered option because, without it, they are flavorless. My husband just a huge lump of chicken and rice wrapped up, and had to pour salsa on it just to add any type of flavor and moisture to his meal. Please, stop flyering our neighborhood unless you're going to give us coupons.

Ate here and the service was okay. My wife and I found the food very bland. Later in the week our entire apt. Complex was littered by their advertisements. It rained the same day and their promotions were glued to everyone's windshield. It took me an hour w. a credit card and windex to scrape off the photographic image off my car

Disappointing mexican food...if you want authentic, go to Fiesta Grill or Los Potrillos. The food simply had little taste , what else can you say?
