My husband and I eat at The Flying
Burrito about once a week and love it! They have amazing specials, especially the seafood. Their chips have the yummiest seasoning on them and their salsas are great. Be careful of the hot salsa and anything with Ultimate in the name--dangerous! Their wait staff is also very friendly and efficient. We found that on weekends it gets extremely crowded and there is often a wait, so now we try to go during the week. Their margaritas are also fabulous!

I can't get enough of the flat-out
wonderful food, service, and service at the revamped Flying Burrito. All of the dishes I've had during my many repeat visits over the past couple of months - from the legendary Flying Mayan to the best area hamburgers, in my opinion - have been amazingly prepared and delicious. I remember the old FB, but I'm hoping this new, wonderful incarnation will not be counted out - it is truly wonderful, and welcome addition to the Chapel Hill area restaurant scene.

They have THE BEST hushpuppies!.
Having grown up in the deep South, I can say I've eaten my share of hushpuppies. The FB has the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommended if you prefer: fresh fish (Yucatan Mexican) child friendly huge portions neighborhood bar friendly service It's located on King Blvd. (formerly Airport Rd.) behind Hunam's.

Ate there often growing up.
I recently visited the Flying Burrito. I grew up in Chapel Hill and we ate there often it was a staple in our family. The atmosphere is different now. The food was still great and the service is better than before. We loved the food.

Flying B might be my favorite Mexican place.
The Flying Burrito and I go way back, as my dad used to take me here when I was a kid. He would get a drink at the bar, and the bartender would always give me a little, plastic statue of a bull, a novelty item that came with the beer. Ever since then I've been hooked.
While my love for the Flying B started over plastic bulls, it has since grown from an appreciation of their unique south-of-the-border dishes. Their flavors and taste combinations are very creative, using a lot of fresh vegetables and seafood inspired ingredients.
I love any of their seafood tacos, but the last time I went I tried their Carborro enchiladas.
They were awesome! Two corn tortillas with squash, zucchini, broccoli and carrots, smothered in green chili and cheese served with a side of rice and mashed sweet potatos (something I'd never tried before but was quite tasty!).
They've got some good (and local) beers on tap and have an excellent outdoor patio that makes for a perfect spot to enjoy your meal when the weather is nice.
Overall the Flying B might be my favorite Mexican place in Chapel Hill. Good food, good service and a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere.

Great 2$ tacos.
I went today after almost a 4 year break in between visits. While I don't remember anything about the last time I was here - today was more memorable. The food is great! We had lunch here -- great deal, 2$ tacos. These tacos were excellent. Almost gourmet? The guacamole and salsa were tasty as well. I will be making a return visit to try the other tacos.

We will all be going back there again!.
My friends and I attended the Flying Burrito last night for the first time in ages. After reading reviews on here and knowing about the new ownership we were a little skeptical. Upon entering it looks very different! Much more clean and contemporary. While the menu had changed, and some of my favorites were no longer on there, it still had a lot of what we were looking for. The Flying Mayan is still there and still sensational! We also tried the Flying Wild Mushroom and the Flying Catfish. Both were very good and the mushroom was packed full of flavor. I would recommend either of those to anyone. They also offer a variety of wonderful tapas. We tried the steak tacos, salmon enchiladas, and spinach quesadilla. The quesadilla was quite large for being on their tapas menu, but everything was very impressive. We finished off with one of their dessert specials, a guava and cream cheese empanada. Very good! The staff was very attentive and seemed to anticipate everything we needed. We will all be going back there again!

I really enjoy flying burrito.
I live right across the street so when I'm feeling some good baja (I suppose would be the best way to describe it) food and a beer, I walk over to Flying burrito. I actually have yet to try anything other than the tacos, because they're only 2.50 during happy hour. The owner is nice and friendly, as is the bar staff. But the tacos are very different and imaginative from any others in this area, oh and delicious, did I mention that? Cheers.

Good Food/Horrible Service/too many flies during summer.
I absolutely love the food at Flying Burrito. Their margaritas are excellent! Unfortunately majority of the time I take someone to this restaurant I receive horribly slow inconsistent service. One entirely gross thing that is hard to get are the flies during the summer months. They really need to do something about this. You have to fight off anyonying flies while you eat. Pretty dis gusting. My husband refuses to go here & unfortunately my visits are becoming less & less.
