In Short – Not your usual pizza joint atmosphere, Pepper's features local artwork on the brick walls and caters to a young, hip crowd. Pizzas are the main draw, but specialty pies include calzones and stromboli. Although all pies can come with the basics--pepperoni, mushrooms, etc--this is the place to expand into ingredients like andouille sausage, broccoli and green olives.
Not your Father's pizza shop

I'd go down the street to one of the better run shops to eat and just come to Peppers for some people watching - the new address still attracts a few eclectic folks.
Many pizza shops in Chapel Hill are known for quality, others quantity and some for service, but Pepper’s is not one to follow in other's foot steps. On the up side - the employees really seem to be having fun “working” ;-)
- Pros: Employees are having fun
- Cons: Mismanaged
Worth a 45 Minute Drive
by ncdad
My family and I live in Wake Forest, and often drive the 45-55 minutes to get to Pepper's because its by far the best in Raleigh, Durham,. or Chapel Hill.
The only one that comes close is Randy's Pizza in Durham.
We love Peppers!
- Pros: Best Pizza in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill
- Cons: Far, But Worth the Drive

This is a great date spot. The pizza is yummy and always made with fresh ingredients. Even a simple pie impresses. Also check out the staff making pizzas in the front window.
