By far the best Italian in town!. A long-time resident of Chapel Hill, Sal's has become my favorite and most reliable restaurant. Their spaghetti and meatballs is just one of their many excellent dishes and their pizza is as fresh and perfectly-prepared as you could ask for. I can't emphasize enough how enjoyable every experience at Sal's is. Treat yourself tonight!!

A Little Bit of Italy. I am a regular of Sal's Pizza & Italian Ristorante and I have been changed forever! I won't even consider going to all those other so-called pizza chains. The food is always excellent. I haven't tasted anything there that I haven't liked or wouldn't order it again. In fact, I find it hard to decide on a meal when I go there because everything there is so yummy. The service is great too. The first time I went there, they treated me like I have been going there for years. I tasted the lobster ravioli in vodka sauce and I didn't think it would be something I would like and I was amazed at how delicious it was. I reccomend this wonderful little restuarant. It is worth every little bite and the prices are very reasonable.

It's Amore. I have been going to Sal's ever since I was a kid. The people are great. They make you feel right at home. The pizza is for sure NY style. The dinners are just like mama used to make. There is a reason they have been there over 20 years. They know what Italian food really is. Best of Luck

Great price performance. When we come to Sal's, we always know we will eat well for less. Although not as elegant as other Italian restaurants in the area, the food is good and the price is better. The chicken parm. is a favorite of mine, and you can't go wrong with one of their classic pizzas.

Family Comfort Food. Sals has become a standard for our family. OK, the service is slow, but the food is consistantly high quality and well-proportioned. My son (6) loves the spaghetti and inhales the adult portion when he often is finiky. The pizza is much better than the delivery factories, but the Sicilian can disappoint. Sals is more of a comfort restaurant. If you want better, you'll pay twice as much.

My Sicilian Nonna would be disappointed. My family is Sicilian and this definitely is not Sicilian style food. The sauce is very acidic tasting. We ordered cheese sticks and they were cold. The waitress was nice but the food just wasn't good.
