Best Mexican Food In Chapel Hill NC. I am hispanic and know good Mexican food when I taste it. Their food is absolutely fabulous. It doesn't matter what you choose to eat, you WILL enjoy it . Don't forget to try the deserts too.

Five Star Mexican Cuisine. Just around the curve from Jim's Famous BBQ, making it the second great restaurant choice on the same street.

We lived in Austin, Texas, visited Mexico several times and dined at Lucy's in Dallas and in San Antonio but have never had better authentic Mexican food. They treat you like royalty at Monterrey.

The place can be filled but you are treated as though you are the only customers and the food comes quickly and too hot to eat right away. You can't ask for more, but you might try one of their super margaritas or authentic Mexican beers.

Did I mention they have very reasonable prices too.

Best Mexican resturaut in NC. Service is Sweetness. Shrimp Quesadia is off the hizzook. And you get free chips which are Delicioso. The best resturaut ever exept for 35 chinese.

BEST Mexican In The Triangle By Far!. If you want a meal like Mamacita would fix you, come on into this place, and sit yourself down... This place is just FANTASTIC...

The restuarant is a little dark, and the rugs are worn, but they spice up the atmosphere with brightly colored walls and Mexican hats, and memorabilia hanging from the ceilings, and on walls..

The staff is efficient and friendly, although they don't speak English very well... They do aim to please however!

The food...Oh lordy the food... It is just plain DELICIOUS! What can I say... Everything I have had is WONDERFUL from the burritos and enchilladas to the Steak in tomato sauce!

The prices are VERY reasonable, and you can eat there easily for under $10.00.

The BEST thing is what you save for last, and that's the dessert... You won't believe what you get for $2.99... Yep, it's Fried Ice Cream with Chocolate Sauce with Whipped Cream and a Cherry! and you want to talk about value! This this is HUGE... Enough for 2 people for sure!!! It is INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS and the BEST Fried Ice Cream I have ever had! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

I love this place. This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten in. I have gone there more times than I can remember with friends and even alone! The food is just SO good, generous, and NOT expensive. The margaritas are super, and they have a few half-off nights on drinks! The waiters are very friendly and professional - always seem to care about you. This is casual, comfortable dining - you can stay as long as you wish; and although the place is small, you can hear your conversation just fine and you feel you have plenty of privacy. It's just great.

YUMMY. I recently moved away from Chapel Hill, but whenever I go back, one of the first places I visit is Monterrey. The BEST dish on the menu is the Quesadilla Fajitas. It is absolutely enormous and is only about $8. It is definitely one of the best foods I have ever tasted. Oh, and on Thursdays, 99 cent Dos Equis!!

Top-shelf Mexican. Monterrey is a great value. Like several other Mexican restaurants in the area, Monterrey has a colorful atmosphere, large portions and low prices.

But it also has especially professional and friendly staff, and very fresh-tasting and flavorful food.

Unlike some Mexican restaurants (like Bandido's), where everything seems to come out of a can, Monterrey has talented chefs who care about what they put on your plate. So many Hispanics eat here that they must agree.

Mexican delight. Great little place - friendly, fast, and furious service. The food is tasty with sizable portions - hot as you want. The ambiance if fun and there is more spanish than English spoken. Basically, good food and good fun.
