Decent food, best pharmacy around. The food is fine, but Sutton's is a gem because of the people and the fact that the personal service at the pharmacy cannot be beat. The pharmacist/purveyor is a real gentleman and will know you personally if you use them regularly. Plus, the place is usually busy with a cast of characters.

Worst Service Ever!. This was the worst dining experience for both me and my wife in the 30 years of our lives. We ordered a malt chocolate, a lime soda with cherry, and a BLT on wheat with mayo. First, the server brings us a water and a coke with cherry. So we remind her what our order is. She comes back about 8 minutes later with a glass of virtually nothing but cherry syrup, and NO malt shake. She says "the guys is really busy". About 15 mins later my wife gets her BLT, but it's on white and w/o mayo! She asks for mayo, and never gets it. After 35 mins I get my malt. The waitress made it and it wasn't good. I will never, ever go there again, and I will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY!

Best Food on Franklin Street. If I ever get the electric chair, my choice for the last meal will be a Sutton's cheeseburger, all the way, with fries and a coke with cherry syrup. Do not miss this place. The food is fabulous, the atmosphere is Carolina and the experience will bring you back. As great a place today as it was when I first visited in 1978.

An establishment that must be seen while in town. Want to rub shoulders with the Tar Heel basketball team? Tyler, Lawson, you name it.

The hot dogs are pretty good too at this greasy yet nostalgic joint.

The Place to go. Sutton's drugstore is an old timey drugstore with a fountain/grill located in the back of the store. you are most surely going to see Someone famous during the lunch hour whether it be Lewis Black or Rick Fox someone is always there. John Woodard the Owner/pharmacist keeps a nice place. Stop in and step back in time...relax and enjoy. breakfast and lunch are the grill items prices are reasonable and there are TV's to watch....
