In Short – Modeled after a Tuscan villa, the Siena is filled with marble, antiques, commissioned carved-wood furniture and beautifully designed fabrics. Each of the guest rooms are decorated with hand-selected antiques. Visitors enjoy valet parking, complimentary shoe shine, turndown service, chocolates on the pillow and a full breakfast at the award-winning Il Palio Ristorante.
Great hotel

I usually don't stay at hotels this fancy. But for a special occassion (which was this case), it was definitely worth spending extra money. And compared to other hotels in this class, it's actually not too expensive. Everything about the hotel was great. Il Palio is a great restaurant. The employees were great. If you are willing to spend this amount of money on a hotel, I suggest making reservations at Siena.
- Pros: Great hotel
- Cons: Pillows a little uncomfy

Fun place to stay, great Jazz on Fridays and a wonderful wine list. The room room we stayed in was newly renovated and had a great bed. The staff made us feel very welcome.

The Siena Hotel is the best!

Great Hotel! The Service is amazing; the rooms are very spacious, and well appointed. We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday this past weekend, she mentioned, this made up for all the birthdays I had not come through. So I am finally out of the dog house. We started the weekend with an in room massage and then had a private dinner service in our room with our own waiter for the evening with an in-room table side prepared dessert, WOW! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
- Pros: Personalized Service
- Cons: nothing
I was truly in Italy :)
by bosco2005 at Citysearch
I have had the pleasure of staying at the Siena Hotel numerous times for both business and pleasure. The service is always gracious, attentive and consistant. There is nothing nicer than entering a hotel that remembers your name and knows your prferences. Dining in the Il Palio restaurant is always an experience, the creative italian fare is fantastic, and food is one of my passions. Close to UNC, Duke and RTP, I am always minutes away from my clients. This hotel makes you feel as though you are in Tuscany at a private villa, complete with italian antiques and hand carved furniture. This is by far one of my favorite hotels in the United States.
- Pros: Ambiance, Service, Food
- Cons: None

I want to clarify a few things mentioned: The lobby is "small" and intimate. The Siena is a European Boutique Hotel which exactly describes what it is! The furnishings are unique. The fabrics are typical of classic Italian decor. The larger rooms are called "STUDIO SUITES" which means one large room with a sitting area. No, there's no pool or gym onsite, but guests have access to one down the road. The restaurant is perfect for a romantic evening or business lunch. The lobby and restaurant are non smoking. The service is very classy and you're always warmly welcomed. If a pool and jacuzzi are the most important aspects of a hotel for you, then stay elsewhere. Otherwise, if cleanliness, hospitality, great service, food, and a quiet place to stay is important- then this is the place for you! Great to go for a celebration too!
- Pros: location, food, service
- Cons: no gym, no pool
