where to begin? this company is most happy to sell you chemicals and give advice--even if it is bad advice. we were sold chemical after chemical to clear our pool only to find out that we actually needed the sand in the filter changed. had service to have that done, service man changed sand and made the filter leak. called several times to have some one come out and fix it. wouldn't return calls and missed appointments. finally asked to have owner call me. he did but he made it quite clear that because we did not have a service plan with them and the sand change was a "little job" we were not important to him. wouldn't make appointment for us and then hung up on me when i wouldn't allow him to intimidate me. did send service person out, they did attempt to fix the leak but we have decided we will take care of things ourselves and NEVER deal with this company again. we had been using summer wind for 10+ years and loved francine bu the this new owner is, in my opinion, the pits!

new management - terrible customer relations!. We've used Summerwind eight years - but never again!

I returned to the store today to get my Baquaspa test strips for our hot tub. The salesclerk told me they were out of those strips, but he suggested Biguanide strips as a generic equivalent, so I bought them.

When I brought them home, we compared the strips to Baqua brand and found that they were not effective in providing all the tests, so I called the store back. I explained my problem to the clerk who answered, who promised to get an answer and put me on hold - for ten minutes.

When I finally got an answer, I was told that they tested the same things. The man on the other end insisted they were the same. I told him that these new strips are not in fact equivalent - they don't test for water hardness. He told me that I could buy another set of strips that test only or hardness, then I would never have to come back to is store again, and then he hung up on me.

I called back, he answered again, and I asked to speak to the manager. He said he was the manager. I complained that he shouldn't have hung up on me. He told me he didn't like my attitude.

I told him I live local, I had been a customer for eight years, I didn't want to stop using them, but I wanted the right kind of test strips; when were they going to have Baqua strips again?

He told me that they were not carrying them any more.

I asked why I had been told only that they were out, when I came in. He said I should have asked if they were still carrying them!

Although they are a local merchant, and we like supporting local stores, this one will never again get our business! I miss the women who used to run the place....

AWESOME Baja Spa/Hottub. We had been looking for a Spa for sometime and noted Summerwind in Carrboro carried the Baja brand, (manufacturing plants in Tucson, AZ and Salisbury, NC, Energy Star Partner and Weatherwrap not foam insulation plus many more features). We walked in, asked millions of questions about an in store model. We called and asked more questions and then we went back in for more questions that we had. Each time the staff took the time to answer our questions and explain how different functions worked even to the cellular level. The delivery was prompt and as we continue to take our water samples in to be tested, we are greeted courteously and helped promptly. Great staff and awesome piece of equipment .

Proud pool owner. The staff seemed friendly and knowledgable and eager to help. I've been to three other places in the area and recieved unsatifactory service. Overall I am happy and a customer since 2003.

Terrible!!!! These people give the worst service anywhere!!!. Missed appointments, rude answers when you call, total confusion in the store about records. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these folks for sales or service!
