Amazing Food, Great service, lots of books and music. I can't wait to visit Skylight Exchange again! The menu is remarkable - so many unique sandwiches, it would take a lifetime to try them all. I have the Broccoli Chopper - WOW! I want another now!

Dennis is an incredible host, the book selection is great and well labeled. OH, and I don't know the name of the chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and served in a huge mug, but it's too rich and tasty to believe. If you're in Chapel Hill, you owe it to yourself to seek out the Skylight Excnange experience.

A haven for the well informed, this dusty cafe boasts the most eclectic crowd in town.. In Short
This local favorite is the perfect place to sit back, have a cup of java and catch up on some reading or unwind with a game of chess. Something in one of the many floor-to-ceiling stacks of cheap used books, records and CDs is bound to catch your fancy. The Skylight hosts a broad range of local talent on its intimate, coffeehouse stage--everything from rock to jazz to folk, with the occasional touring band dropping by.

Oh wow!. The creative list of sandwiches is so long, I almost mistook it for one of the rare used books for sale at Skylight Exchange. I had a hard time choosing between the "Sweet Elvis' (a concoction of peanut butter, honey, and bananas; toasted) and the "Summer Sandwich" (a crisp, vegetarian delight of on sunflower bread.) I ordered both sandwiches. When Dennis (owner) served them to me with a timeless wink, I realized I would have to call 2 friends because this was so much food served with chips and a crunchy pickle. To wash it all down, I got a classic Cheerwine. My friends arrived, and we sat in a booth and played a board game while enjoying the best sandwiches ever!
