fabulous. I love Devines. we go there a lot. If they really like you they will invite you to their secret holiday party. You can watch all the NFL games here and drink for very cheaply. The best deal used to be the Miller Lite Tallboy cans, served with a frosty glass. I think they raised the price recently though. and I haven't done a cents per ounce analysis lately. whatever. They also have some fancier beers on tap, if that's the way you swing. The food is good, there is always a sandwich/soup special. There is no place I'd rather go to drink (and watch sports) anywhere in the entire world.
great burgers!. I think of all the times I've eaten here (maybe a dozen over 3 yrs?) I've only eaten inside once. And it's always been lunch - I LOVE the burgers! Very decent price for a big juicy burger and fries. The service is always prompt and courteous... and I always leave feeling stuffed and satisfied. I highly recommend for a nice outdoor lunch in the warmer months!
You can Drink to get Wasted here!. If you are looking to get wasted than this is the place to go! Nothing fancy here.....just a good old fashion watering hole. I do not recommend Devine's if you are astmatic or hate a smokey atmosphere cause one walk into this den and you'll have to call 911.
My favorite dive of a sports bar in Durham. Some things never seem to change--coach K's hairstyle, Johnny Dawkins' facial expression, and the food and atmosphere at Devines. Don't expect much in the way of ambience--there are 3 big screen TVs and many other smaller sets all playing sports, and basic, affordable bar food. The owners always seem to be there, and the service is great. If you're looking for a burger and a beer, this is the place to go. If you're looking for the best thing on the menu, go for the chilli-cheese fries: outstanding.
Best in Triangle ... lots of TVs, satellite, great food, drinks, staff.
Excellent place to see any and all sports. Great staff, food, drinks, atmosphere + Golden Tee!
Try the wings ... they're awesome.
Decent food and an even better atmosphere for a college-aged (and older) crowd..
On off-nights, it's a nice place to grab a quick pub meal, especially during the summer on the patio. The food will remind patrons of their college days: chicken tenders, fries, burgers, buffalo wings. The chicken Parmesan sandwich is juicy and tender, and the burgers and buffalo wings are decent. The onion rings are a good bet, crisped to perfection. Devine's carries several beers on tap, including Samuel Adams and Killian's.
Working in the Downtown Durham area, I have been to this place a few times. They have a Boston Steak Sandwich meal that is great. They also have Fantastic Onion Rings. I have tried much of the food and it is very good. The service is polite and fast.
That combined with the cost make it a good pick. If you are in need of a good, cheap meal with good service, and you dont mind the divey atmosphere, this is a good pick.
