customer service skills needed badly. the worst customer service EVER!!!! the woman who answers the phone for take out is the rudest and most ignorant person i have had the displeasure to come in contact with.

the food is palatable and pretty reasonably price .... therefore the 1 star.

Couldn't deliver because it's- Cold?. Not customer friendly. Let's put it this way- it felt like they were doing me a service just answering the phone. Hung up on me once. Said that they could not deliver- while it clearly states on their menu and site that they do. When asked, they said it was "too cold outside to deliver." Huh! The Sweet and Sour soup was just sour- like the taste left in my mouth after ordering from them. The rest of the food was traditional fair- reasonable prices- nothing special. Not recommended.

GOOD food, HORRIBLE customer service. I make it a point to get my food and keep going because the food is good, but the hostess' attitude is HORRIBLE! they need to drastically improve on her customer service skills because she is just ridiculous! I have been to a lot of places where the customer service was not up to par, but this was the worse I have ever seen it. The less you say to her, the better the experience will be.

Go ANYWHERE but Rainbow!!!. I wish I could award no starts! This is hands down not only the worst chinese food in Durham, but the worst chinese food I've ever had. The quality of the ingredients was so poor, I wasn't sure what kind of meat I was eating. Despite having a "clean plate complex" when I go out to eat, I couldn't force myself to finish this, nor did I have any desire to take home the leftovers. The service was terrible and the hostess was incredibly rude. I was there with a non english speaking friend who was having trouble understanding the menu, every time we told the hostess we needed more time she would roll her eyes, groan, and walk away. I was shocked by her terrible and uninviting attitude. The atmosphere was also terrible, the restaurant is small, dirty and uninviting. If you want chinese food in Durham, I would recommend ANYWHERE else but Rainbow. If you are looking for a place in Brightleaf Square, there are plenty of amazing restaurants that are far, far much more satisfying. GO ANYWHERE BUT RAINBOW!!!!

best chinese deliver in area. they have a huge menu at excellent prices. they offer eat in take out and the best of all delivery. i have ordered many times and always had promt fast delivery and hot food.i would reccomend them to anyone in there delivery area esp if you want to stay at home.

Good for takeout. Typical American Chinese takeout joint. The food is good enough and served hot, in large quantities. Pretty cheap specials. Atmosphere of the place is bummy. Go for takeout (or, apparently, delivery).
