In Short – Tired of coloring books and boring arts-and-craft ideas for the kids? Take them to the Scrap Exchange where they can find bins and bins of odd and wonderful materials to spark their creativity. The Scrap Exchange carries pieces of fabric, Styrofoam, plastic, metal, wood, and other weird and wonderful odds-and-ends, both donated and found, that might be just the thing for that craft project you're thinking about.
Perfect for crafts, art supplies, kids parties and generally weird stuff you just KNOW you can find a use for.

Absolutely a blast! Great for finding crafting items, art supplies, and just about any weird little decorating thing you can think of. Tubs and bins of things that have been donated, from fabric scraps, plastic bottles, foam tubes, tile samples, wallpaper scraps, oddball promotional items left over from who-knows-what. Too much to remember, and it changes every time I go. Currently my son loves to go, get cones and tubes left over from industrial sewing processes, and take them home for me to hot glue together for spaceships, robots or guns. They have pieces of art from local artisans, and some genuinely normal household items you would never expect. Oh, and fabulous for kids parties, too. Just the wackiest stuff.
- Pros: Wacky, weird, wonderful stuff. (Dirt cheap.)
- Cons: None
