In Short – From first-base line seats, you can relax and gulp down big beers, corn dogs and barbecue while taking in a perfect view of the Durham skyline. A smoke-breathing toro "Bull Durham" producers built to spice up the old park still proudly stands above the high left-field wall. A huge scoreboard draws the eye to the grassy hill where young fans sit with their gloves, hoping to catch the next dinger.

Editor's Tips

Know Before You Go:
If you've got tickets for a rained out game or one you couldn't attend, exchange them for field seats at a Sunday game.
Where to Sit:
If the game doesn't sell out, you usually can purchase field tickets but still sit in unoccupied seats along the first- and third-base lines.
Look Good:
Check the schedule at the Durham Bulls' website.

The Triangle's Team

Now that the American Tobacco District is open there are so many more reasons to go out to the ballpark. Parking is no longer a problem and you can hit Tyler's or Mellow Mushroom before the game for some beer or food and walk right across the street. Plus tickets are cheap and the atmosphere is great. There's really no better deal for anight out in Durham.

The Yard of the South

by one_spod at Citysearch

DBAP offers the best baseball experience south of Camden Yard in Baltimore. When the American Tobacco Project is finished, it will be the centerpiece for Durham's rejuvenation.

  • Pros: Atmosphere-Design, Flying Burrito, Good Baseball
  • Cons: Basic Concessions

Great Experience

by cminghelli at Citysearch

Great experience at the Durham Bulls Games. They really know how to treat the fans. They offer fireworks, games, acts, etc. Kept my mind off the many errors of the game. The tickets are very reasonably priced and the seats offer good views.

  • Pros: entertainment, food selection
  • Cons: parking difficult, not enough shade

What is this, "baseball"? Discover it!

by MarkSeawell_Citysearch at Citysearch

This is a great idea for something to do, when you're tired of movies, restaurants and bars. I'm not a huge baseball fan, but I had one of the best times at a Durham Bulls game. Now I know why it's called America's pasttime--it's not just a spectator sport. It's fun to watch the people from the crowd get to do things on the field in between innings. And catch a fly ball and eat some tasty park snacks!! We had a great time!
