Flame-broiled burgers--especially the trademarked Whopper--are royalty at this popular fast-food chain..
In Short
Founded in 1954, this ultracasual eatery (often with a drive-through) made its name with hamburgers cooked over flames and finished with the customer's choice of toppings. The signature sandwich has always been the Whopper, a quarter-pound burger with tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, ketchup, pickles and onions. The menu also features fish fillets and spicy chicken sandwiches, garden salads with fire-grilled shrimp and chicken, the breakfast "Croissan'wich," crispy onion rings and even veggie burgers.
AWFUL WHOPPERS!.
I like Whoppers but don't get them very often.
Went to Burger King for lunch today, my first time at this location, ordered a Whopper with cheese. Got it home (a 5 minute drive) and it had WAY too much Mayo (at least 1/4 cup or more), the lettuce was HOT and saturated in the mayo. They also didn't put cheese on it. I scraped most stuff off and ate the burger anyway, but I sure won't go there again and if I ever return to a Burger King I will ask them to make the Burger fresh. Right now they have a special "2 Whoppers for $3" it appears as though they just make them in bulk quantities and keep them under the heat lamp for hours.
