Good and Bad. The food is delicious, sandwiches are huge and the price is great! But later....

I have eaten here twice and gotten sick, almost immediately, both times. The first time I thought it was just a bug. The second time I realized that they keep the mayo, grilled chicken, Russian sauce and other items used quite a bit on the back counter, not refrigerated! I do not know how long they had been sitting out, but realized that both times I had been, they were sitting there, uncovered and unrefrigerated. So, buyer beware. The food is great, but I think I'll skip it next time.

Best of both worlds. It is great to have it in both worlds. A wonderful eat in resutrant with great food and a family atomsphere. The carryout/catering is fantastic. Just like being in the resturant. The food is just as good. One of Durham's best kept secrets. Awesome sandwiches. The owners make you feel welcome.

The BEST lunch place in RTP. I've worked in RTP for quite some time, so I like to think I've sampled pretty much all the local lunch places, and in my opinion, cheerz deli is hands down the best. Awesome service, the best tasting food around, HUGE portions, and fast. I love cheerz!!

Best Deli Ever!. For 18 months I was on an out of town assignment in this area. After trying Cheerz Deli once, it became my only lunch place unless I was in another area of town. Great staff, great food, clean restaurant and owner's who could so stand-up comedy. Do yourself a favor and try this deli. You will not regret it!

Great food, good value. Been going here for a couple years once in a while for lunch. They run specials every day (i.e. meatball sub, sausage/peppers, steak/cheese, meatloaf) for $5 something. They also roast their own turkey on Tues and Fridays. You will always leave full. The line can sometimes get a little long, but usually moves along and worth it.

Highly recommend.

Crowded at lunch (but for a good reason). Whoever said their desserts are bad....they are just crazy. All of their food is excellent (including cookies... ask for the cranberry oatmeal ones if you really want something good!). I think a lot of us who go there, know why it's crowded. People know where food with good FLAVOR is. This isn't processed assembly line food.. this is home made, filling, tastey food... All kinds of stuff... subs, salads, soups, canneolli, baklava, cakes, ect.... If you work in RTP and haven't stopped by to try some of their menu, you are missing out!
