Fantastic! Reliable, efficient, keep their word.. First time we hired professionals to move. And I must say I was very impressed. They tailored the move exactly to our needs.

I explained to Doug my objective: minimize the number of days where I would be without stuff. I had three days to drive, so he said we could have our stuff on the fourth day. And indeed, the truck came on the fourth day, and we had our stuff.

That story in itself would be quite banal to me because I wouldn't know what to expect but another company we had a quote from, a bit cheaper, said they could deliver in 2 to 4 weeks. When we said we would go with another company, they said "Good luck. I have been in this business for a long time and they cannot do it that fast" Well, who laughs now? Truckin' Movers came through on their commitment and Hercules now looks foolish.

Now here is an extra bit of information that makes that story even more interesting: the original plan to move our stuff failed for some weird reason and Truckin' Movers were in my opinion, due to the circumstances, not legally liable to follow through on their commitment at that time. But Doug worked around the problem and did deliver on the original scheduled date, at extra cost to them. That's integrity and I wish more companies in 2010 would take customer relations to that level.

Oh, and it goes without saying that the packing was perfect and our stuff was delivered without breakage.

And the final price was very very close to the quoted price. How do these guys do it? The actual weight was actually within 3%-4% of the quoted weight. Amazing!

They Kept Their Word!. I used Truckin Movers to move me from NC to CA in February, and had a really good experience. Having done this once before about a year and a half earlier, I was VERY concerned that I'd have the same experience that I had with XpressMovers (a horrific company!). Doug's team promises an exact pickup an delivery date, and they are not kidding. Unheard of with movers!

After deciding to go with Truckin Movers, I made arrangements with Doug to go to the truck weigh in before my stuff was loaded, and went afterward to see what the final weight was (did I mention that I was afraid of being scammed like I was with the other company). I had already weighed most of my boxes and had estimated my furniture weight with a little help from the internet. The loaded weight on the truck scales was within 50lbs of what I had weighed (3725 lbs vs. 3775 lbs). If you've done any reading on the federal transportation reviews, you know that everyone has the right to see the truck's before and after weight for weight-based quotes. Doug's men showed up the day they were scheduled and were polite, efficient and accommodating. The team they coordinated to unload in CA also arrived on the promised delivery date and were again on time, polite, efficient and accommodating. And to my pleasant surprise nothing was broken or missing. I'd most certainly use them again and recommend them to anyone seeking to move across the country who wants to work with a company that strives to keep its promises and make quality deliveries.

I don't use anyone else. I've used Truckin for private and commercial moves and shipments since 1987. When you hire them, you get a group of honest people who take pride in their work. If you've ever used a mover with a ho-hum attitude, you know what a drag it can be to try to ask questions or to trust them with your stuff. That just is not a problem with Truckin. From your first contact with their sales staff to the final delivery, they give you the friendly and efficient service you expect.

long distance move - piece of cake!. We had a long distance move from NC to NH and a short time to do it in. Truckin Movers was able to get the job done and not blow our budget. The crew arrived in the morning and started packing and loading. By the end of the day we had everything locked away on the truck. The truck arrived in the morning on the day we scheduled and we had everything unloaded in a few hours. Good news is there was nothing broken. Bad news is we have to put it all away now! Moving is never fun but having these guys help made the process a whole lot easier.

Just in-time move done just right. My company transferred me from N.C. to Florida with a one week notice, talk about stress, but the one no-worry part of this was the move. Doug arranged everything from Raleigh pick-up to Tampa delivery. One smooth operation. The best moving expereience I've ever had, and this coming from a person who has moved 9 times in 12 years ( always inter-state).

Thanks, Doug, you will be getting my call next time.

Best Moving Company in Town. Truckin' Movers has set a new standard for us. Not one thing was broken or scratched during our move. The company is very hard working, eager to please and extremely fair. Their estimate was right on target and they were very professional. We plan to use them for our next move because they made the experience such a positive one. We have used other companies in previous moves and Truckin' Movers is by far the best we've ever worked with. I would highly recommed them.

What a nice group of guys!. Are you planning a move? If so, the guys at Truckin' Movers will get you there on time and with no damaged goods. I used Truckin' Movers this summer and was very pleased with their courteous and efficient staff. Everyone was so helpful when I called for information or updates on my move. I also used their storage facility for a few months and had a few antiques to be moved. I stressed about those for a while, but everything was delivered dent and scratch free to my new house. So if you want to have a good experience moving, call the guys at Truckin' Movers and you'll be glad you did.

very professional - a moving job well done. I'm very glad we chose Truckin' for our move.

Everyone was great to work with. I liked the clear communication with the estimator, the front office, and the crew on moving day. We'd used other movers where this wasn't the case, and found it

frustrating when trying to plan all of the details of the move.

The estimator who came out was very thorough, asking about things we hadn't thought of.

The front office was friendly and answered all of our questions.

The crew was prompt, careful, and thorough, asking us questions when they weren't sure about something.

We moved a household for a family of four, including a baby grand piano, with some items going to our new home, and others going to storage.

All of our furniture and fragiles arrived in good condition, and the furniture and boxes were placed right where we wanted them.



We will definitely use Truckin Movers again for our next move.

Why use anyone else?. I used Truckin Movers twice, once for a local move and once long distance. Both times I was impressed by the quality of their workers. These guys worked hard. They showed up on time, they seemingly never stopped, they were careful with both the goods they were moving and the homes they were moving the stuff in or out from. I had them put two desks in an office room one way, changed my mind to go another way, and decided I liked the first way better. They switched them back, no problem. Nothing broke on either move.

The estimate for both moves was dead on accurate. Truckin Movers sends you a questionaire that you fill out with the number, type and size of the goods you will have them move and then sends you an estimate. For my local move this was almost exactly what the final bill came to, and on my long distance move the final bill was lower than the estimate (likely because I had been given number of moving boxes by a friend, but hey, the bill was still lower than the estimate!).

Here is an example of how great the movers were: while they were at the house loading I was dusting the blades of a ceiling fan in one room and inadvertently lifted the entire assembly out of its socket. I was holding the motor and blades in my arms, still connected to the ceiling by the electrical wires, unable to set it down, unable to reset the darn thing, and my arms began to tire. I yelled for help and two of them came running. One lifted up the fan while the other reset the ball into the socket - what a way to help out in a pinch.

I was entirely satisfied with Truckin Movers, used them twice and would use them again.

I would never hire them again.. I used Truckin Movers over a year ago and the move is still not complete. Over 60 items were damaged and the company has not followed up to settled the claim. Nothing happens unless I call them over and over again. I would never hire them again after the experience I have had with them.
