Family Feel. Great Service. Wonderful selection of Cars.

I had only $1500 for a downpayment from my tax refund, and I have terrible credit. They worked with me and listened instead of trying to push me toward the car they wanted to sell me. I had about 30 cars to chose from and test drove three of them I liked.
I love my Honda! It drives great and I haven't had any major problems with it. Unlike some of the other dealers I went to in Durham, A Lot of Cars had low mileaged Hondas, Toyotas, GMs and Nissans.
They also had a wide selection of cars under $3000, but I was looking for a very specific car for myself.
When you need repairs done, you can just take your car back to either their Durham or Roxboro location and they will fix it really cheap.
I've recommended this place to all of my friends at church b/c it really feels like they want you to have a great experience buying a car.
Best car dealer in the Triangle!! Hands Down

I only had $1000 for a downpayment and I ended up driving away with a great car. Since I had such a great experience with my car and working with the people at A Lot of Cars, I've referred my brother and a cousin of mine who have also had great experiences. They take care of you and treat you with respect and kindness. I've had a few minor repairs that the car has needed and I take all my repairs back to A Lot of Cars b/c you can't beat their prices and the repairs are quality.
If you ever have a problem, you just take it back to the dealer and they get right on diagnosing the problem for free. If it needs to be fixed, they charge you 50% off of what the labor would be at another place. I looked into the A/C repair I had done was really cheap at A Lot of Cars versus another mechanic shop.
If you are shopping around for a vehicle, definitely stop by A Lot of Cars. They will continue to take care of you even after you're done making your monthly payments.
- Pros: Great selection and great warranty
- Cons: Lots of papers to fill out
How does this place stay in business?
by codysmom09 at Citysearch
I don't know how this place stays in business. The employees are very rude and their vehicle are faulty. The financing charges are outragious and the vehicles are priced well over the blue book value. Beware of these scammers.
- Pros: you can most definetly drive off in a car
- Cons: no telling what piece of do-do car you'll end up with
Read the Reviews and They are True.....Best Dealer I've Purchased a Car From
by NurseMyra at Citysearch
My friends at the hospital had told me to visit A Lot of Cars and so I looked them up online to see what other people had said. The reviews I read were good and so was my experience which is why i felt I should write a review as well.
I ended up chosing a Honda Accord and I love it. They had 5 Hondas for me to choose from and they weren't pushy at all like some salespeople I've encountered at other dealers. I didn't have the full amount for the downpayment so I put $500 down for them to put the car on layaway for me.
The best part are the services that the owners of A Lot of Cars provide after you make your purchase. I've owned my car for about a year now, and I've had my oil changed twice for free now and I've also had free diagnostic work done as well. It turned out that they were able to save me about 40% off what I would have been charged at another mechanic shop when my altinator went bad. True to their word, they charged me cost for the parts, and split the cost of labor with me 50/50.
I can't write enough good things about my experience. I have told many people at the hospital that if they need a used car and want a company that takes care of its customers, then they should visit A Lot of Cars.
If you are a Duke employee, like I am, you also get $100 off your purchase. It was a great experience and when it comes time for me to purchase another car, I won't need to research it....I'll be going straight to A Lot of Cars.
- Pros: Selection of vehicles and all the services they provide you for as long as you own the vehicle
- Cons: It is nearly impossible to park there -- I park at the BP Gas Station whenever I need to go make a payment.
Durham's BEST car dealer

We stopped at A Lot of Cars because it was right down the road from us. They were really straightforward and not pushy at all. We ended up with a really nice Toyota Camry that was clean and hasn't given us any problems at all. At the time, they had 5 Toyotas and 6 Hondas for us to choose from. Some of which were only $1000 down.
The folks at A Lot of Cars take care of your car for as long as you own in terms of free oil changes and free diagnostic work. We've changed the oil twice already and when we did have some problems with the car starting, they determined that it was the starter and fixed it up without charging us a lot of money. We checked with other mechanic shops just to be sure and it was about half of what we would have spent elsewhere.
We've recommended this place to everyone in the hospital and all of our friends because we've had some really bad experiences at other car lots. A Lot of Cars has many many vehicles to choose from and it was and continues to be a really positive experience working with them.
- Pros: Wide selection and the services they provide you after you purchase your car
- Cons: The wait to test drive the vehicle was kinda long but its because they refuse to hire salespeople. You mainly end up working with one of the owners.
