Good Breakfast at a good price.
I recently picked up breakfast to go from Currents. I had bacon, eggs scrambled with cheese, grits, toast and a lemonade. Everything was good except the grits. They tasted like they may have had some grease in them instead of butter, but they were not totally terrible. I was most impressed with the fact that they used real eggs and not pour or scoop some kind of egg substitute from a cardboard box. They make the eggs to order right in front of you. The lemonade was very good and the staff was friendly. I've never eaten lunch there, but the breakfast was overall a good value for what you get. I would definitely eat there again.

terrible bland BBQ.
I went for the first time to Currents. I had cabbage, candied yams and bbq. For one meat and two sides it's $3.75 and add a drink for .95. My total was $4.98. The portion size was on the smaller size of average. The cabbage was bland - tasteless. The candied yams were good but nothing I couldn't get out of a can. The bbq was aweful. Mushy and tasteless as well. The hushpuppies were stale - not crunchy and fresh and hot. I picked them up from underneathe the heat lamp so I'm sure they had been there awhile. Unfortunately, not even the atmosphere was that great. I also think the owners were Asian and while I have no problems with Asians - I have to wonder how they got into the business of Southern BBQ? There was no 'home cooked' flavor in any of the food I ate.
