What People Are Saying About Elmo's Diner

In Short – A front counter evokes Small Town, USA. Lone diners read the newspaper. Waiters chat with customers and whip up milk shakes. Kids occasionally run past, since it's one of the best spots in town to bring the family. Large windows and wood-plank floors make the space feel as old and preserved as the diner tradition itself. Comfort food, like meat loaf and roast, hamburgers and all-day breakfast, including omelets, waffles and pancakes, are this kitchen's forte.
Comfortable

My family and I have been coming to Elmos for the bad 2 years. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if that had been a choice. It usually decent food. I have had some great meals and I have had some horrible meals here. I come back because thet are very kid friendly and the staff is always nice. I also think it is a good value (if the meal was good) for the money. Usually you cannot go wrong with breakfast fare.
Good Serivce Poor Food, Poor Portion as well
by SidLC
Service was great! Food on the other hand was bad, so fare as the portions sizes. It's a diner not Burger King. After me and my family spent 30.00 dollars plus a good tip for the great service. We went and had to get something to eat at the local Cook Out. Which we was thinking, we should have just gone there all along. We would have spent half the money and would have been more satisfied none the less. The Kids Meal, if that is what you want to call it that. We order burger and applesauce, and oone with carrots. That was a big joke as well. Burger dry , nothing on it. Carrots dry no dipping sauce. Like I said good service bad food.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Service was great!
The best place for kids, and a huge menu
by tbrave
This is what a good old family restaurant is all about. They've got a huge menu, ranging from a turkey dinner with stuffing and mashed potatoes to breakfast anytime. I love this place. I wouldn't park in their dirt lot--just park down the street and walk a block or so. Also, don't expect to sit down right away, especially for breakfast on the weekends.
- Pros: Solid food, huge selection, great service
- Cons: It's so popular, expect to wait a while at peak times
