An excellent experience. I agree with other reviewers about the professionalism of Keith. He's knowledgeable and provided everything needed to make a well informed and comfortable decision. Keith handled our trade with ease, negotiations were pleasant and professional, and we left with our new vehicle, very happy! We recommend Keith and Chavis (the finance guy!) to anyone considering a VW - forget those other guys!

from beginning to end. Rod Miller was courteous professional and helpful. The salesman Artur B was the best I have encountered. He was attentive and listened to my needs. His explanation of the car and test drive sold me. He followed up and made me feel important. Handling the paperwork with Chavis was a pleasure as well. I had a thorough explanation of all documents and felt comfortable with the process. I received a visit in the dealership from the general manager and felt a genuine interest in my experience.
I have purchased a lot of cars. This experience by far was the best. I will be back and will send friends and family. Thank you Southern States.
These folks found me the car I wanted and had it at their store when they promised. Keith Hutchins and Chavis Rachel were gentlemen to deal with. They did not high-pressure me and I felt as if they were enjoying their jobs. I can recommend shopping for a VW with them.

I just purchased a 2007 New Beetle Convertible from Southern States and was very impressed with Gene Isaac. He was very prompt in responding to emails and I felt no high pressure sales at all. We came to an agreement on the purchase without the hassle back and forth that I have experienced in other delaerships. This had to be the best car buying experience I have ever had. Gene was very thorough in his follow up with me and very knowledgeable about the car. He was able to answer all my questions and more. He took the time to actually show me the features of the car and made sure that I understood how they worked. Never in my car buying experiences have I had a salesman do this for me. If you are in the market for a car, go to Southern States and ask for Gene, you won't be disappointed.
Recently purchased a car from this dealer. Great customer services and satisfied with our purchase. This was the first time we felt stress free purchase unlike any other dealers that we visited. Definitely I would recommend it those who are looking for a great deal, great car:)
When we entered the market for a car two factors were most important; coolness of the car and brand quality. For the money, VW was an easy decision because the quality is up there with BMW and Audi, but for some reason VW didn't charge as much for it. We narrowed our search at VW to the Beetle as it satisfied our search factors, but the car we initially took home had a few factory defects. The dealership worked very hard to make things right. In the end, I expected VW HQ to swoop in and give us a new car, but it turned out to be the actual dealership who made things happen. It become very clear that they were sincerely interested in our happiness and make everything right on their own. There was no BS at all, just focus on getting to happiness ASAP. As of today, we are loving our new bug and will continue to buy our cars from Artur at Durham VW.
I bought a VW Jetta yesterday from Gene Isaac at Southern States VW, and it was the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Gene was very low pressure....actually no pressure at all, but was very helpful and pleasant and easy to deal with. Everyone else at the dealership was very friendly also. I mentioned to Gene that I had read some unfavorable reviews of their dealership, mostly regarding the service dept, and he actually took me into the service dept and introduced me to those guys. I spoke to Tim Stoneking and he said they were working hard to provide good service and overcome any past issues, and gave me his card and told me that I was welcome to email or call him anytime. This made me feel much better about my future relationship with the service dept. Hopefully I won't be disappointed, but we are definitely off to a good start, and I love my new Jetta!
