Why Would Anyone Shop Here?. When there are so many wonderful Durham merchants courting our business, why would anyone shop at Chelsea Antiques. The owners are unwelcoming and rude, and Laura has been known to curse her clients and tell them never to come back.

There are many places in the Triangle to shop for beautiful antiques; go there instead...

rude, rude, rude. The merchandise here is pretty but nothing special. The owners are a little strange, but mostly they are just abrupt and rude. Save yourself the trouble and go to a real antiques place with more furniture selection. As for the French tableware, order online from Sur La Tabla where the prices are more competitive or head out to Williams-Sonoma where the customer service is superior.
