My wife, Marilyn, has been seeing Dr. Cataldo since he arrived in Durham. We have both been wonderfully amazed and pleased with the results! The periodontal care and treatment Marilyn has received has been tremendous. Dr. Cataldo is most knowledgeable and he and his staff have been extremely accommodating, supportive and helpful. We both highly recommend Dr. Jason Cataldo to anyone needing expert periodontal care.

Good Experience. I am writing this in response to the excellent service from Dr. Cataldo and his staff last week. They made a difficult procedure go smoothly for my family and I, and kept me calm and and informed about everything from start to finish. I would definitely reccomend this highly trained and proffessional office to anyone who is considering a perio procedure.

I quickly learned that Dr. Cataldo was not only concerned about my health and safety, but was also willing to take the time to make sure I knew what each step and procedure meant. I never felt railroaded or worried. I felt safe and relaxed, which I didn't know could exist at the dentist.

So, my treatment is complete, but I will miss Dr. Cataldo and his staff, especially you Lynn! Thanks you guys for making my life a little easier.

Our Philosophy. We pride ourselves on a thorough, comprehensive approach to treatment. This facilitates the most accurate diagnosis and treatment, and ensures that you are well informed about all the types of treatment available so you can make an informed decision. We've noted repeatedly that this saves our patients time and expense in the long run.

Before beginning treatment, many issues need to be discussed including the type of treatment, the risks and benefits, options for sedative medications, coordination with other treatment, and financial arrangements.

We coordinate with a patients current dentist, and often request records from previous dentists because determining how a disease has responded in the past, can affect future recommendations.

Our comprehensive approach does not represent some sinister way to "bill more" as this writer speculates. Our fees are based on the treatment provided, as in most dental offices, not the number of visits. We try to help consolidate treatment into fewer visits due to issues regarding sedation and the time patients may need to cancel work and or other obligations, as well as the healing period that may be necessary.

As dentists, we have teeth too and understand very clearly what dental treatment looks like and feels like. We feel that we practice with Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence.

Not flexible and patient friendly.. I was referred to him for deep cleaning. His office insisted that I come in for "just check up" first and then schedule again for deep cleaning. I requested one single slot for both (check up and cleaning) as I knew I needed deep cleaning (explained to them that it is not easy for me to take off twice from my schedule within a short period of time.) I told them that I have been seeing a periodontist regularly for the past 6 years before moving to NC and know that I need deep cleaning. I requested them to speak to my other dentist too.

They refused and insisted on setting up two visits. So it was more like a "government office" than a patient friendly practice.

Probably that way they can bill more? Not sure but definitely not patient friendly

I called another periodontist in the area, and they agreed setting up one appointment for both without any fuss whatsoever
