Awful. I really hate to give bad reviews, but this food is awful. I had the lunch buffet, and it was truly terrible. My husband has eaten at Indian restaurants all over the world, including India, and this was his worst experience. I can handle mediocre food, but someone involved in the operation of this place just doesn't care. Meat shouldn't be gristly, and sauces should have some flavor. The waiter and host were nice, but neither could even understand my questions. Go to Azitra or Sitar Palace (if you want something in Durham).
best indian food. best indian food in town, best service and the staff are very friendly, they already know our drinks we never had a empty glass of best sweet tea u ever drink...food is excellent i love all their chicken dishes...i love gulab jamun and kheer..we live in burlington and drive there just to eat that tells u the drive is worth it......HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Great food!. I highly recommend Tandoor Indian Grill. Great food, great staff...what more could you want? A++++
Best Indian food in Triangle.
Coming from LA, I was very pleased to find so many Indian restaurants in the Triangle area. I was NOT pleased, though by the quality of them. I've found that the food in the restaurants I've tried (including Udupi and Sitar) was bland. Not so here. This place is consistently excellent. The nan is always fresh. The food is spicey (though not too spicey if you don't request it). And the service is great -- very friendly staff.
We eat here about twice a month. It's hands-down the best Indian food I've had in this area. Too bad the atmosphere isn't a little more cozy.
The Best Indian Food is not in Cary, it's in Durham.... My wife and I just moved from Los Angeles less than a year ago. In LA, we were used to having good Indian food and so when we moved to the Triangle, we were eager to find some here. After asking for recommendations, we were told about Udupi in Cary and Sitar in Durham. Both were good, but Udupi was vegetarian only, and I like meat; Sitar was good the first time, but not so good the second time. Then we found Tandoor on NC55. This place is consistently excellent! The spices are hot and the Nan is always fresh. I didn't think a buffet could be this good, but even the buffet's food is excellent. We are regular customers here now and I really don't think it would be worth it to try a somewhere else. Thank you, Tandoor, for giving us the food we know and love.
Great place for the Whole Family. We frequent Tandoor often. It is the only place we like to eat. I have tried other Indian restarants but find them to be the most consistent. The place is impeccably clean. Cleanliness is very important, I have never seen a dirty dish and the bathroom is always neat and clean.
Best food in town!!!. I have been to many Indian Restaurants in the Triangle area and Tandoor Indian Grill has by far the best food.
Great Experience!!!.
I just do not agree with some of the unhappy people as my experince has been nothing but great I go to this place at least once a week & found the food to be very fresh & authentic. Buffet is a deal for lunch & dinner. My kids love it. Great atmosphere for family, nice servers, affordable price for a family man. Naan breads came fresh with my buffet to my table as much & any flavours. Tandoori items & ck tikka masala was superb . They are busy on weekend nights with entertainmemt. My kids love the servers.... they know us by name..
Will recommend any time..
So far, the worst in the Triangle..
Been to 10 different places in the Triangle for Indian food, this is hands down the most disappointing.
Food was mediocre at best, tehr waiter once saw me eating samosas... I was placing a small dolop of chutney at a time... he comes over and dumps a spoon of each on my plate and mixs them altogether "This is how Indians eat chutney". Not the greatest experience.
I have no specific horror stories about the food... it always ( 4 different trips, 2 buffet, 2 dinner) was simply not great.
Pretty good. Not the best Indian food around; could use some spicing up, and yes, the nan isn't that great. But the service is excellent, and the dishes competently prepared. You won't go away hungry or annoyed. After a visit to the lunch buffet, your biggest problem will be how to stay awake through the rest of your work day!
