Great food, martinis, and staff!. Not only is East End a fun late night place to hang out, but also a great place to have dinner! Their menu is simple but thoughtful, a refreshing change from the ordinary Franklin Street cuisine. The staff is very accommodating and the atmosphere, if you go before midnight, relaxing. Not to mention, their bartenders make amazing drinks! Order from their extensive martini list or, my personal favorite, ask a bartender to make a unique one!

Awesome Place. The bar tenders are great at what they do. They take orders quickly and efficiently. The prices are great for the drinks you get. I'm totally impressed!

Bartender has SKILLS. The martinis are FABULOUS. The atmosphere is not stuffy and they even have a beer pong table upstairs. The staff is excellent and very friendly too. I highly recommend coming here if you are in Chapel Hill.

Great Place. I have been here several times and I love it. This is the place to be no matter your age before and after all the big games and on the weekends. you might not remember leaving but that is a different story.

In general , great, BUT.... All is good, but please drop the harmonica...We enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that the decor is not overdone and that the clientele isn't too young. But please, drop the harmonica dude.

The Place to be. If you're going to be on Franklin Street, this is definetly the place to be in Chapel Hill. The door staff are some of the nicest bouncers you'll ever meet and it only gets better. The bartenders and waitstaff also had a good sense of humor and took care of me and my guests. Athough there was a $5 guest cover our group was able to negotiate a bargain at the door since there were 8 in our group. We became well acquainted with their most famous special - the .25 cent bottomless Bud Light drafts in their basement. Their live entertainment was nothing short of excellent and the atmosphere was free of drama. At the end of the night, the bouncers even caught me and my girl a cab.

Poor Service Starts At the Door. Time for a recent review. Visiting from out of town, this martini bar seemed like it would be a good place to have a drink and visit with friends. We were so turned off by the way in which we and other patrons in line were insulted and accosted by the neanderthal bouncers at the door that we turned around and left. I don't care what the food or service or atmosphere is like inside (all only average at best), no one should tolerate such rude employees. I'm sure that because of the type of establishment this is, management is not too concerned with offending the occasional customer. They'll never have a chance to change the minds of my friends and I who promptly left and happily and permanently took our business elsewhere.

There are 101 reasons to enjoy a martini at this hip Chapel Hill spot.. In Short
East End's simple, cosmopolitan decor tells you that this is no college beer hall. Even though the atmosphere here isn't stuffy, you should head for the trendier part of your closet before heading out. Expect a crowd of young professionals on the weekends, with a few more students during the week. Live music on the weekends can demand a cover, but rarely more than a few bucks.

Not worth your time!. To small! No dancing! Can't hear your self talk with the live music! The cover is way to high! Worst of all the Martini is not strong at all!
