The Best Service I Have Ever Experienced......
I have recently just began attending the Family Care Practice and thus far, I can tell you that the practice is a great practice. Very attentive, informative, and down to earth staff that you would
love to talk to. In addition, you can feel the healing when you enter the building. Dr. Lee, whom I have visited twice appeared to be vested in my well-being. There was no cold shoulder, rushed, or uncomfortable feelings. The office management were nice and informative as well as the professionals. Before you visit any other faculties in the Triangle Area, if would be beneficial to look into this practice first.
Pros: Lovely staff, Concerned and Professional Doctors, and a Great Environment
Cons: None
Best Regards,
Marcus…
Caring practice, wonderful atmostphere.
I have been a patient of Dr. Mentock's for more than 11 years now. Dr. Mentock (and Dr. Lee, whom I've seen a few times when I had a "last minute emergent-care appointment") is really an outstanding
doctor.
I've found that she really takes the time to listen to her patients, and since her practice is small, you don't find yourself shuttling between 6 or 7 doctors (as I'd found to be the case with my last practice). She takes my experience of my symptoms seriously (I cannot abide by people who "poo-poo" me) and I trust her wholeheartedly. I've referred several people to her over the years and the majority of them are still with her (probably all would be but for changes in insurance, etc.).
I've never experienced a GP office that takes as much care as Family Care does to know and listen to each of its patients. Sometimes that means that you may wait a couple minutes for your appointment, but that just means that one of the doctors is taking the time to listen to someone else's whole story that they'll take to listen to yours. There's no "your 15 minutes is up" syndrome here and for that I'm very grateful.
As a huge bonus, their new office (on Carpenter Fletcher, off Hwy 55) is in a *house* -- so friendly! With a covered entrance so you can drop someone off without them having to walk through rain on a yuckky day.
Dr. Mentock is the best!
Anyway -- hope this helps :-)…
Do Not Recommend. It took almost six weeks to get my pap smear results. It has never taken more than a week anywhere else. When I called, the office staff seemed both uncaring and unconcerned. Having her son run the office as soon as he graduated from college also made me uncomfortable.…
I would seriously think twice about going here....
First gripe: I had a papsmear performed over a month ago and I still have not received the results. When I called to check on it, the nurse told me that Dr. Mentock has not had time to look over the
results.
Second gripe: I was recently bit by something (I was worried it was a spider) and called to make an "emergency" appointment since my hand was all swollen and the venom was continuing to spread. Apparently poisonous spiders arent an emergency because the receptionist decided that I had to wait another two hours before coming in to see the doctor. And in case the snotty receptionist reads this...just because you go to the desk in the back to talk about your patients, doesnt mean we can't hear you.
Third gripe: Dr. Mentock drew a line on my hand and told me that if the venom went past the line, I needed to let her know so she could refer me to someone. It didnt even take three hours for the venom to go past the line so I went back in the same day. Dr. Mentock would not even come out to see me. Instead, she sent her nurse out to tell me that, "things are suppose to get worse before they get better." What kind of doctor refuses to see patients?
For the record, Dr. Mentock was wrong. Things were not going to get worse before getting better [on their own]. I went to another doctor and he got the venom out for me.…
Wonderful docs!. I found Dr.Mentock when I moved here when 2 very good friends, who didn't even know each other, told me that they loved their doctor...and they happened to have the same doctor, Dr. mentock. Well, I loved her, too, and recommended her to many people. She is a very caring doctor, who listens and takes the time to answer all of your questions. She has a wonderful, laid-back personality that makes even the biggest hypochondriac, like myself, feel at ease. I have also seen Dr. Lee in the same practice, and she is great, too. I would HIGHLY recommend these 2 doctors to anyone!…
Terrible cusotmer service by office staff - negative rating.
Dr. Mentock's general ofc staff is pretty good. It is her office manager that takes upon himself to decide if you really need the medication.
I had called requesting a prescription at noon. I explained why I am requesting the prescription. I called back at 4 to be see if it was ready for me to pick up. The office manage directed his underling to tell me that I could not get this prescription and there was no resolution.
I sent an email and was absolutely angry because the office never called back to let me know the situation. I had to call to find out any information. There was no mention of coming in to talk with the physician. He questioned my motives and since he was is not medicall trained did not know that there is a disc in the jaw that can cause extreme pain. My email conversation led me to believe that he never talked to the physician. He reported the doctor would call. She has never called me to apologize or resolve this situation.
Another incident, the office manager, was arguing regarding pressure medication. He elevated the situation by being smart mouthed and rude. Hanging up was the only option. It was only when an appointment was made with the Dr. Lee the other doctor in the office, that Dr. Mentock took the time to call.
The office manager can be nice once you question his actions you will be on his bad side nothing will ever go right. My only option is to leave and fine another doctor…
Patient, personable, and good listener. Dr. Mentock always took time to listen and didn't rush. She showed a level of empathy and sensitivity uncommon in large family practices, where you're just another face with 2 minutes to explain your problem. Unfortunately, my employer switched insurance companies several years ago, a plan for which Dr. Mentock isn't a provider. I hate going to any doctor now. It's hard to find a good doctor like Mentock.…
Good but.... Dr. Mentock is good but often slow to respond to phone calls and follow ups. Patient load is quite high, making it hard to get an appointment at times. Also, prices have gone from pretty reasonable to much too much.…
Wonderful Family Doctor. Dr. Mentock's family care practice is wonderful. When you call or walk into the office you are greeted, by name, with a smile and asked about your family. My son, who is four, loves the staff and is happy to see them. He recently had to have two shots and joyfully told Dr. Mentock "You are cool" and "I loved those shots", because they were done with suck care. I recommend them reluctantly only because I don't want the office to get to be over run with new excited patients. I am very comfortable with Dr. Mentock and her staff. They feel like family to us. Dr. Mentock is always very on track, greatly educated and she has taken care of us 100% with every illness, I put complete confidence in her and her staff.…
