Durham's Best BBQ by Marc and Chris. No really, go eat at Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q. That's all you need to know. OK, OK...I'll tell you more - but you could have been there already eating..... So I drive by this place and I'm looking for somewhere to have lunch. I always love trying new local spots, so in I go. It's just me, so I grab my newspaper and HOLY MOLY the place is packed. I find a table and squeeze in. Looking over the menu, I decided to go for the fried chicken plate.

Chicken is always my measuring stick for a BBQ place. It's hard to find fried chicken that's not overcooked and dry. Well, Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q knows how to cook chicken - it was delicious! Every bit of it tender and juicy - and it was seasoned perfectly.

On top of that - it was fast. I didn't get through maybe half of the sports page when the food came out.

Just a note - The waitress told me the ribs, on Tuesday only, were really good. She's probably right, because when I looked around, just about everyone in the place was eating ribs. Guess I'll try them next time....I'll definitely be back!…

Pretty good lunch spot. Did lunch at Hog Heaven. Didn't take long to order at the window. Meal was inexpensive. Had the chopped pork sandwich and thought it very good. I'm still trying to adjust my taste buds to that vinegar-based sauce however. Good hush puppies too. The banana pudding was good, not great. Friendly, efficient wait-staff. Definitely on my short list for lunch now. Sure wished they had one on the south side of Durham.…

Amazing Barbecue. First, I never take the time to write reviews, but the record needs to be set straight. I'm a barbecue fanatic, and Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q has consistently the best barbecue I've had in my entire life. I've eaten barbecue around NC, and Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q can not be beat for their chopped barbecue. The restaurant's ribs, chicken and fish are very good, but the chopped pork is off of the charts. Although the service I've experienced has been top notch, I couldn't care less because the food is so good. I also like the homemade BBQ sauce.…

This is BBQ!. Great staff, great food, great service. Best coleslaw and potato salad I've ever eaten. All these basics combined with the area's best barbeque and chicken, it's heaven on a plate. Real simple atmosphere provide customers with a simple dining experience.…

Catering at its BEST!. I am employed at Duke and several committees have had events catered by Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q. I have attended several of them. They communicate the contracts clearly and are always available for special requests. They will accommodate your every need to their best ability. The set up is timely, the food is prepared/delivered/and/or served professionally and has a touch of class! We love the bqq, chicken, vegetables and banana pudding! Kudos to the owners and staff!…

Really great BBQ!. You have to be looking for Hog Heaven to find it. It is in a small strip mall on Guess Road about a hundred yards from I-85. But you know as soon as you walk in you are at the right place. First of all, if you are going for lunch you better go early because the place is packed by noon.

And the reason for the crowd is the great BBQ! Really good pork & chicken. Love the hush puppies and banana pudding. I'm not a coleslaw person so I can't comment on that. All of this at a reasonable price.

If you want good BBQ cooked on site, skip the chains and head to Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q. I promise you will be a customer for life.…
