I had a really good experience last time I went to this salon. I got a massage which was great! And then I got a hair cut from Lisa. I need to cut off all my dead ends because I previously went to a different salon and got a bad highlight and fried my hair. After cutting about 3 inches off, I was very satisfied with my new haircut. Everyone at work said they loved it and asked where I got it done. I would definately go back to get more services done here.

Destenee Salon and Spa is a great place to be pampered and get a professional hair cut and color. The staff is friendly and always does a good job. Bobbie is great. A "Good Hair Day" for you!

I had my hair done by Bobbie and she did an excellent. I needed a new style and some color to cover the Gray! I couldn't have asked for a better, easy to manage style and the color was excellent. I highly recommend Destenee Salon and Spa for your hair needs especially if you are looking for a new style!

I went in looking for a fun funky cut. Instead of funky I walked out with something between a soccer Mom and Hilary Clinton. I used to live in Atlanta and had a fun modern stylist there. I brought in pictures to show the stylist at Destenee what I was looking for. I had long layered wavy hair when I walked in. I was looking to add bangs or a few more layers. The stylist told me she wanted to "clean up my layers". I walked out with very conservative bob angled around my face, actually it was something more like a bowl cut. She said this cut would be better for growing my hair out which is what I wanted to do, but it's been 6 weeks and my hair looks like a pyramid due to the thickness and now being all one length - all the weight is at the bottom. It's the absolute wrong cut for the kind of thick wavy hair I have and I feel the stylist should have known that. I went back to have her fix it but there's only so much I can do if I don't want to go completely short. I am stuck with it now and just learning to live with ponytails.

I'm very picky about my short hair. I was referred to Jen and that she was great with short hair. I am pleased to know she can look at a picture and give you that cut.

We have been going to Destenee for about 2 years now and the experience with my hair stylist has been very well. Usually, the staff is nice and outgoing.

I went to Destenee yesterday after reading a flyer posted on the board at work about a fundraiser they had going on to raise money for several organizations. I believed it was my duty to get a haircut for a good cause. As you might imagine, it was packed. They were very toughtful though and had lots of food, drinks, and plenty of seating. The fire department was even out front showing off the fire truck and keeping the kids entertained. I had a hair cut, facial, and pedicure. They did not charge anyting for my services, but did have a donation collection area. I liked the fact that I made my check out to the organization of my choosing. I had a great time and wanted to spread the word about what these people have done. I have found my new salon and will tell everyone I know. I just wish there were more businesses willing to do things like this.

I went to have my haircut and Lisa P was my stylist. I must say I have never been so disappointed. For the price I had to pay, I expected much more. I ended up going somewhere else for have the mess she made corrected. (She offered to correct it but I was scared to take the chance). I have seen dog groomers with more talent, not to mention, she reeks of cigarette smoke

I love my hairstylist, Jennifer Night. For years I have cut my own hair, because I couldn't find a hairdresser who would actually do what I asked. They were always second guessing me! Jennifer quickly understood my needs and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Now I go to her regularly and recommend her to others.

Anybody that does not enjoy there experience at this salon and spa is a crazed person. I have had nothing but great services every time I have had appointments. The stylist are so knowledgeable and helping me decide what is best for my hair that I appreciate their input. Alot of times I want something new and different and the stylist takes time and explains the pros and cons. That is something that I appreciate.
I have been to many salons over the years and to tell you the truth this salon and spa is HOME for me .. There is no other place that I willo Go.

I typically don't write out reviews unless things aren't up to my expectations. However, today I wish to share with you a place that I've had great service and quality work.I live in Raleigh and have been going to Destenee off and on for almost two years now. Every once in a while I find a more convenient place near home, but always end up going back to Bobbie. The service has always been outstanding. I have had my hair done countless times and gotten quite a few massages and not once have I been disappointed with the service or friendliness of the staff there. NOT ONCE!
I highly recommend anyone looking for good quality work ? at a fair price ? go to Destenee and work with Bobbie. It's worth the visit...
- Pros: it's convenient, right off hwy 40 on hwy 54 - great for Ch Hil, Durham, and Raleigh

You must be kidding....I had a hair cut for Lisa and it was the worst haircut ever. I ended up going elsewhere for them to fix the mess she made. Not to mention, she reeks of cigarette smoke. I will never go back...
