Super Good, Best NY style pizza in NC, Low Fat Options, FRESH AND CHEAP!

by carolinakate

This is a great location on Franklin Street. The food is scratch-made and always fresh. The pizza tastes like REAL New York pizza (and this is coming from a New Yorker). It is super cheap, fast and staff is friendly. The restaurant is always spotless and pasta orders come with a free loaf of bread. The marinara sauce is the best, as is the pink sauce. You can even get their homemade sauce to go in large containers to bring home. Stuffed pizza is good too, as is the greek salad. You can't go wrong at Franklin Street P&P. I've been working at Carolina for two years and have never had a bad experience there. Try the garlic knots - to die for!

  • Pros: Convenient, Fresh, Cheap, Awesome Service
  • Cons: Can get crowded at lunch

Best pasta and salad! Fast, clean and friendly service!

by katakeet88

They make your food from scratch and as you order! I've been eating here for the past 6 years and love their food. My favorite is their Primavera spaghetti. Their marina sauce is the best and they give you complimentary toasted french bread. Yum. One order can last two meals! Definitely try them out.

  • Pros: Fast and fresh food!
  • Cons: parking

The perfect mix of a New York neighborhood pizza parlor and a busy Chapel Hill lunch spot.

by Contributor

In Short
Brightly-lit, with framed mementos of the New York Rangers 1995 Stanley Cup Championship and a painting of Donald Williams' clinching free throws in UNC's 1993 National Championship, Franklin Street Pizza & Pasta is the perfect mix of a New York neighborhood pizza parlor and a busy Chapel Hill lunch spot. They always seem busy, but there are enough booths and tables crammed into the sun-lit dining room to accommodate everyone.

Delicious!

by kroppink

The marinara sauce is delicious!!! You order at the counter & they bring it to your table, so this isn't a fancy place... but the food is great!!! We were served VERY quickly too!

Sooooo good!

by uncmaggie

The Greek salad is huge and delicious. The spinach pizza is awesome; slightly sweet with sesame seeds on the crust. My friends and I love the Penne and Pink Sauce. And the manicotti is also quite tasty. Pizza and Pasta is great for lunch because they have quick service. Cheap too!

  • Pros: Great food, inexpensive
