Don't Bother

I used to hang out at Visions when it was Competitions, Eve's, etc. I saw the steady and pathetic decline over the years...bad music, bad location, bad attitudes. I stopped going out b/c if that the only place in town for "us" then I'd rather stay home. I went to Steel Blue after a four year hiatus. It was worth it!

To put it simply....ONE OF THE WORST!!!

OMG!! This place is a hot mess....talk about smokey and dismal! I would never visit this place again, the music was a lot of hard core rap and there were a bunch of straight men standing around the teeny-tiny dancefloor drooling..and most of them were ugly!! If u want a lot of saggy jeans and a whack crowd, then this is your place...If you want a good LGBT, go to Steel Blue!

Over look the minor details!!

I did have a great time but, but there were things that could of been better. First of all it looks like who did and what for inside. If you can get past the the look of the club then you can have a good time, the drinks are good but the bartenders have serious attitudes, and when i was dancing some one was sweeping behind me. I got lost trying to find it and the young girl at the door was helpful the dj was really friendly he played my request even though he played it earlier that night before i got there. I was a little uneasy because i heard cops secure the area and i did not see any at all and this is an area that i would suggest needs officers. The music was great the majority of the people were great ... and oh yeah i hated the bathrooms, i know its a club but curtians for doors.... i just held it!!! This club has potential... it just needs a facelift and a few attitude adjustments and it would get 5 stars out of me. But because i just like havin a good time i will go back, maybe like once a month its not a every week thing.

• Cons: looks horrible, location

You'll find down-to-earth gay gals and the occasional guy at this discreet drinking and dancing destination.

Comfortable seclusion for womyn of discerning tastes. A pay-for-membership club, featuring a sporty, see-and-be-seen bar, a get-down dance floor and some pool tables. Chycs of all social strata, from rugged, athletic directors to professional ballerinas. Men are permitted too, of course, as long as they do their best to blend into the woodwork. Fashion highlights? Retro, all-black getups are totally appropriate at this place.

Can we please have a decent women's club in this town?

I'd open a new bar myself if I had the money. This place is incredibly smoky; What's wrong with smoking outside? Are we l@sb!ans so insecure that we have to damage our health just so our bar will be cool enough to allow SMOKING? Wow. Yes, I agree, the whole place is incredibly clique-ish, and it is very hard to meet people. As for the drinks, stick to beer. The mixed drinks are so-so, and the wine is just...not what you should drink in a place like this. The last time I went, there were a lot of men there (and I'm not talking about our gay brothers), which I thought was weird. The music is mostly rap, and the dance floor is small. What else...oh yes, the decor! All I can say is my garage looks more chic inside than this place. If you want to get drunk on cheap beer, inhale a lot of smoke, and receive attitude from a bunch of linear d!kes wearing Teva sandals, by all means go to Visions.

Wowza

I was visiting the area this past weekend and was told to check out a little girly club in durham... we arrived to a little place about 10... we almost missed it.. i was pleasantly pleased to see that there were two very friendly armed police officers at the door. we spoke shortly and entered... we immediatly headed for the bar where a dark haired woman served us our drinks... which by the way were the best ever!!!!!!!!! lemme just say that she did NOT skimp on the booz... as the night grew... so did the crowd... cutest LADIES that i have ever seen in a club... i requested a song and it wasnt played but the dj ( later found out named tigger, which she announced) looked alittle overwhelmed... i would be too with all the hotties around!!!! Anyway we all had a great time and would recommend this club to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why oh why...

where to begin? the staff will bump and hit you when trying to get their trash cans through the aisle. also, the patio is in dire need of repair and it seems the management has no intent on fixing the problem. the bartenders are rude and lack the ability to make proper drinks. the manager/owner has no people skills. overall, a skanky place with poor poor taste- from the feathers on the lamps to the plainly decorated room. you would think they would invest some of their profit on improving the decor, but it seems to be beyond the comprehension on who is running the place. why i have spent my money in this establishment is a mystery to me but after this evening of rude encounters it is a done deal that i will never return again. good ridddens to a haphazzard excuse for a lesbian club.

A T-girls night on the Town

A group of us have been going out looking for T-friendly clubs so last night six of us went to Visions around 10:00pm. The club was friendly enough and the bartender was very nice. There is a nice large dance floor and a good group of GG girls started showing up around 11:00pm. Most of the music was tekno dance but it was still fun.

The appearance of the club was rather plain, just a rectangular room with a bar on one side, a couple of pool tables, some chairs and tables next to the dance floor. We stayed for a while then went to check out another club.

• Cons: Parking, no real food, no one talked to us

i heart visions!!!!!

ive been going to visions for five years now and it never gets old. they play a nice variety of music. has a nice atmosphere. i always have a good time. theres always a bunch of drunk chicks to make out with and they have a really good outdoor area. there is a diverse social crowd everything from pop collars to studs. the bartenders are a lil cold but they serve good drinks.
