After 8 years of eating there... I'm finished
by Durhamite3

The owner's attitude was, at first, amusing fodder for fun names like "L-Ebenezer Scrooge." However, I'm sick of being treated like I'm imposing on him by ordering his (about $3 over-priced) food. The man needs to stay home or at least at the back table where his hateful glare doesn't accompany money transactions. If there was other Mediterranean food in the area I would have stopped going sooner.
Above Average food. Abysmal Service.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: Owner
Great food from East Africa

This is a nice place with good food. I was served beef, spinach and rice. The beef was very tender. The samosas were great also.
- Pros: Good food that is a good representation of East African food.
- Cons: It could be missed if you are driving past it.
Down to Earth, local feel.. by scott k. at InsiderPages

This place has great Mediterranean food, and a nice local, feel to it. It doesn't give off the chain restaurant feel like a lot of other smaller businesses try to do.
I think the food is in par with other notable places like Babbba Ganuj (SP?) and with a more take out appeal to it.

This quaint and cozy. I really enjoy the food and the customer service. The prices are reasonable but know, it is not your regular fast food joint. They do have a 'No Ketchup' rule. They have had the rule for years and when you go check out the uniform shirts and it will explain the reason behind it.I say check it out.

I love this location. Its location near Duke. They have the best kababs, the people are nice and friendly. The children love the hummos and pita bread. Nice place to go.

This place has some the best mediterrian food in durham. It located near the Duke Unveristy campus and it has a real college feel. I always get there Gyro Plate and it never disappoints me.
"The Best" fantastic shwarma

The menu may not be as large as fancier places, but what International Delights does, they do really well. The shwarma is filling, the vegitarian falafel isn't greasy at all, and the "american" alternatives are good--I'm told, I always stick to the middle eastern delights. Not many people stick around to eat in house, but when you have time, enjoy the traditional middle eastern tea with your meal. They'll bring it out to you still in the teapot, with fresh herbs simmering in it. The place has been family run for a long time. Watching the kids grow up has been an added treat.
Indulge in Bakliva or get some tobacco for your houka. Tastey!
- Pros: authentic middle eastern

International Delights Restaurant is the place my family and I have been eating at for the past 9 years! Everything there is homemade and is made fresh daily! They have the best falafel, hommos, tabouleh, gyros, kabob, shawermah. There subs are just unbelievable, they have philly steak/chinken, turkey & veggie subs! Wonderful hookahs to smoke afterwards and turkish coffee and lebanese deserts and hot tea! I encourage everyone to go and try the wonderful foods and deserts that International Delights has to offer with subs, salads, middle eastern foods and desserts.
