Sketchy nighttime traffic

Great place to sleep! (As long as you don't mind the car stereos going boom boom in the night) There seemed to be a lot of activity last night, cars pulling in then leaving a few minutes later. Hmmm...what could they have been up to?

pretty bad

sketchy, for sure, kind of scary; non-smoking room reeks of cigarette smoke; wireless internet in room free but does not work; has not worked in weeks as I understand it; nothing special about matresses; says HBO, but no HBO; worst breakfast I have ever seen; how this got AAA 2 diamond rating, I will never know; cheap, but Howard Johnson is the same price;

• Pros: fairly cheap; personel are friendly
• Cons: bs advertised amenities; sketchy; no HBO, no internet in room; crappy breakfast

The Scene
This very plain 180-room facility is located in the Durham and Duke University area. It is locally owned and operated, and has been serving the community for more than 20 years. The property is off I-85 and welcomes RVs.

The Details
The rooms are clean and nice, as well as very affordable. They include TVs and free local phone calls. Complimentary morning coffee and continental breakfast are included in your stay. The outdoor pool isn't heated, making it usable only during the hot summer months. If you're heading out to the Duke or V.A. hospitals, free scheduled bus service is available.
