Excellent toppings, miserable crust
by db2ericp
Toppings were generous and high quality. Salad was great value. Pizza crust was the soggiest I have ever encountered. Had same issue at Hope Valley location. Miami Blvd location does not have this problem. Wake up, guys! You are only a crust away from being excellent. Maybe buy your crusts from (&deity forbid) Domino's or Pizza Hut. Or better still, fiddle with ingredients and oven temp so that your crust (which has excellent flavor) is not almost pasta-soggy.
- Pros: Toppings
- Cons: Crust
Best pizza in town
by cbowen
By far the best pizza around. I grew up in Philadelphia, and this place makes pizza like I grew up with. They use real mozzarella, not the fake stuff the chain places use. Good pizza can be warmed and sold by the slice, and Randy fits the bill for that. And, the slices are huge! If you want a slice or two, go to Randy's. If you want a whole pie, go to Randy's. Their cheese steaks are very close to what I grew up with in PA. By far the best pizza that I've had while living in the South.
- Pros: Great pizza. large slices
- Cons: none
Excellent Pizza!!!!!
by Netfa
These are the biggest slices in town, with the best taste. The cheese and sauce have excellent flavor. This is the only place I buy pizza, I love it. I'm spoiled by Brooklyn's Italians.
- Pros: Big and Yummy
- Cons: Location, Location, Location, not the best.
Best Pizza....Bar NONE
by winifredpsmith
We tried Randy's Pizza for the first time in a long while last week, and had forgotten how outstanding the food is! Since the new ownership has taken over, the place is cleaner, the service terrific, and the new menu offerings are a welcome addition to the menu.
We love the Classic Greek Pizza with the new Greek Salad. It was absolutely delicious. We went on a Friday evening, and the place was busy but not overly so. The service we got was the best in a long while. The staff was very accomodating, and we highly recommend Randy's Pizza for the huge slices, and the great service. They also deliver, too.
- Pros: Huge slices, fresh ingredients
- Cons: busy shopping center
Good, but not sure I would go to this location again
by LearnAndGrowTogether
I went here with a couple friends, and the food was fine. The restrooms were less then acceptable, and the rest of the place was not very clean. The icing on the cake was when the employee put the pizza right in front of my baby, and he put his fingers in the cheese before I could stop him. A little common sense might be a good thing!
I much prefer the Morrisville location, and I think I will stick to that on from now on.
Good pizza but is it clean?
by dwe1978
I do like the pizza but wonder about the cleanliness. The low health scores (93.5) always bothered me but I still ate there. Last night I got it got me sick. Come to think about, it's not the first time it's happened. While I like the pizza, I have no plans on going back, until they clean up their act. (Pun intended.)
- Pros: Good food
- Cons: Not real clean
Great Pizza, but the MLK Pkwy location needs help
by jv02
The food at all Randy's Pizza locations is good. However, cleanliness does not appear to be a top priority at the MLK Pkwy location. The floors, tables, and counters are always filthy and some of the employees do not wash their hands before preparing the food. Randy's Pizza on Hope Valley Road is a much better choice.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: Cleanliness
Don't expect quick delivery during lunch time..
by keyacann
We ordered food for lunch and was told we would have our food in 45 min to an hour. It actually took 1 hour and 35 min for us to get the food. When we called the young lady who answered the phone was very nasty. They may have great food but they offer poor customer service. Therefore they have lost me as a customer.
Awesome NY style pizza
by yt
Chewy, but crispy, flat crust; thick cheese; tangy sweet sauce - This is a really great NY style pizza joint that I'd never thought I'd find in NC. It's a great deal - 2 (big) slices with a topping and a drink for under 6 bucks. Service is speedy, toppings are classic and of a pretty good quality. (you need to go elsewhere for your artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, and pancetta). This is a solid pizza joint.
- Pros: Pizza, prices
Love Randy's of RTP
by sallster
Love thin-crust NY style pizza? I have visited all the Randy's pizza's in the area and I love the one on Miami Blvd in the RTP best of all. Their customer service is great. They have a great staff that makes you feel at home. The pizza and sauce is by far superior to the other locations. The pizza is thin and the toppings are always cooked to perfection. For another tasty treat try their garlic knots, and ask for marinara on the side. It is deliciously "spicy-sweet!" You get great food at a great price- ~ 6 bucks for 2 large slices and I mean large and a drink. It is even worth the wait during the lunchtime rush.
